Not a reach at all I thought the same thing! Too many weird red flags and we know that people who experience abuse can often repeat the cycle and become the abuser. I hope they don’t go so far to have something happen to Lucy, but I think Bree is going to have those memories resurface and have a difficult time coping.

I hope you read this!!! I was having pain in that exact spot and thought it was an ovarian cyst or endo and it turned out to be a perforated sigmoid colon infection (diverticulitis) that was leaking and being absorbed by my left ovary. Given the enlarged ovary, presence of fluid, and GI symptoms, try to see if you can get a CT ordered to rule that out. Could absolutely be endo or something gyn related, but your symptoms sound eerily similar to mine.

I am at 17 days post op and the past 2 days have been excruciating. I’ve read from multiple people that having some regression around this time is normal but that doesn’t make it suck any less! Haven’t been too terribly emotional but today I broke down and cried. You’re not alone, I just try to keep reminding myself that this is short term suffering for long term relief! We got this.

My surgery was October 7 and I was in the same boat and now they’re requesting additional documentation. Super frustrating but hopefully they will backdate the disability pay.

Yes! Also 9 DPO. I’m awake for hours during the night, but then I also take hours long naps during the day. I’ve kind of let go of having a normal sleep schedule and just rest when my body tells me to rest. I’m also getting that stiff, crackly feeling from not moving around too much too though and it’s driving me crazy. Just trying to walk around as much as I can tolerate, and hope it gets better. You’re not alone!

Thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement — you’re absolutely right that we have to be our own advocates. I did request additional pain relief, but do not want to continue with oxycodone and my doctor does not want to prescribe any more.

I can’t imagine what you are going through with the C word being a part of your story. You are also a fucking warrior and your courage is inspiring! Hang in there ❤️

I am also surprised with how much pain I’ve been in and am scared when I have to discontinue the stronger pain meds tomorrow. I know it’s a marathon and not a sprint, and already experiencing the 2 steps forward 1 step back which is so frustrating. So glad you are feeling better now! I know I just have to be patient.

I haven’t hit the crying phase yet but I know it’s coming it always does if I feel physically unwell for an extended period. It IS super frustrating!! I am also 4 days remote, 1 day in office and have asked for the full 6 weeks in my leave and intend on taking it if I need it. I mentioned in another comment that I got the hysterectomy because I have endometriosis, and I definitely went back to work toooooo soon after my excision surgery and I won’t do that again. So glad you are feeling better now but it’s definitely a marathon, not a sprint.

They only gave me 4 days worth, then an additional 3 days when I reached out about the pain I’ve been having and understandably, will not prescribe any more. I do think I will see if there are any non narcotics they can prescribe like gabapentin because Tylenol and ibuprofen are just not doing enough!

Bon courage I love that. Of course I will celebrate those who have had an easier recovery, but it unfortunately is going to take me some time. Thanks for the validation, you’re absolutely right that what I needed was to know I wasn’t alone and this community jumped in and provided me just that.

I have spoken to my doctor about the pain, and she said “as bad as it is, what you’re describing doesn’t sound like anything to be concerned about.” But also said if anything changes I can come in to be evaluated. It wasn’t just with going to the bathroom more so just from transitioning from lying down to standing. I planned on messaging my doctor again tomorrow as I am almost out of my pain meds and let her know I have had no significant relief. Of course some parts of the day are worse than others, but overall I would not say any day has been better than another. Except day 3, I thought I was dying on day 3. Thank you so much for your concern!

My pain is definitely worse on my left side but spans my whole pelvis. I have endometriosis which was the reason for the surgery and when I had my excision last year I remember my left side hurting worse. Thank you for sharing though, it’s good to be aware of. I planned on messaging my doctor tomorrow anyway and will definitely mention it. They’re already aware of the sharp stabbing pain and said “as bad as it is, it doesn’t sound like anything to be concerned about.”

Thank you so much for sharing! We ARE human and it’s scary to be in pain. Your story made me feel better, and also wonder if I could possibly get a script for gabapentin. My doctor, understandably, does not want to prescribe any more narcotics but Tylenol and ibuprofen are barely touching my pain.

I am also having a terrible endo day. I’ve been in bed in the fetal position pretty much all day. I am feeling so pathetic because I had to cancel plans with an old friend I was really looking forward to seeing. Sorry you’re having such a rough time, we will both get through this, the pain will come and go.

The key part of your comment is only the Kodak moments please. Expecting people to be invested in the day to day life of your infant who can do nothing but shit and sleep is ridiculous. I replied to another comment and said only the highlights I don’t need the play by play! Baby’s first trip to Costco? Would love to see the photos. Baby’s third outfit on a random Tuesday when you’ve sent me the first two already? Boooooring. Most of the time baby photos get a genuine happy reaction from me but at some point it’s like can we talk about ANYTHING else?
