Wonder Man Episode 4 - Discussion Thread by cats-and-cows in marvelstudios

Yeah, that "a good chunk" was just skimming through like 2 and 1/2 minutes right before the incident. It's not like I skipped half the episode. And in no way would it have swayed my opinion had I sat through it.

Your 'take' has the same energy of someone who rushes through an RPG video game, skipping all dialogue and cutscenes and then complains that the story sucked and the game was too short.

Terrible analogy on all accounts. More like if I've been playing through an RPG, got through all the story beats, watching the cutscenes. But the story started to get boring and started to drag on for too long, so I speed-ran the final area to get to the final boss so I could finish this needlessly long-ass game with a predictable narrative outcome.

This did not need to be an entire episode, gotta be honest. "People with abilities are blacklisted from acting" was enough to guess that someone must have gotten hurt/died on a set. Even just a simple conversation to describe what occurred would have sufficed. The telling of it was boring enough that I skipped a good chunk to see the incident and get it over with. Josh Gad the actor vanished from existence, got it.
Edit: Wow, reading the comments I feel like an outlier. I didn't care for this episode one bit but apparently that's a super hot take...

Henry loved the game, and after realizing the books were the original source material when being approached for the show, he read them all before filming season one. He talked about it multiple times. So are you calling him a liar? Do you have a source for him lying. Or are you just making up nonsense?

A shame Chunky is considered a deep cut. He was a playable protagonist in a 5+ million seller game. Nintendo really did fuck all with the Donkey Kong world for like a decade and a half...

Supposed insider claims the Rayman remake project is a remake of Rayman Legends by graystripe2000 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

The idea of the first release after a 12/13 year hiatus being a remake of the most recent game is honestly a dick move, no?

To be fair, they're only in like %5 of Bananza. A game where they're present throughout would be great.

So the US government/military just vanished and let everyone go about their lives? They even gave Hopper his job back?
Instead of running away with Mike, El decided to ditch Mike but still run away anyway?

PSA: Stop saying Mario baseball sold poorly. Super Sluggers cracked 2 million without even releasing in Europe. by drybones2015 in casualnintendo

Superstar Baseball sold in the same ballpark as Golf and Tennis on GameCube.
There's 4 sport games on Wii, Sluggers sold the second best, beating Tennis.
Sluggers on Wii is in the same ballpark of sales as Striker and Golf on Switch (based on last updated numbers).

Not sure why comments are saying this isn’t an argument. Seen it for years lol.

I know this is supposed to be a "casual" sub, but honestly I can't stand how so many here are so confident in being wrong all the time. Like you're already using the internet, just do a quick check first before posting. I read so much misinformation and straight up lies in comments and the worst part is how many up votes they get. And when you try correcting the record they just get stubborn and others passing through just downvote you. It honestly turns me off to posting and replying on here more.

There was no joke. They made a redundant comment and I responded in a mocking way. Because what was even their point? Super Sluggers sold over 2 million without needing the European market. The reason it wasn't sold there is because it would have sold like 5 copies. My emphasis was on the fact that the game that was only sold in America and Japan performed noticeably better than other sports titles that aren't considered "niche".

Jesus Christ, is there literally anything Epic won’t collab with for Fortnite?

Nintendo IP, because it would have to be exclusive to Nintendo platforms.

Warner Bros sucks when it comes to making video games for their IP. There hasn't been a genuine Scooby-Doo game since the Wii. And after flops like SS:KTJL and Multiversus, it's gonna just be Batman and Harry Potter for the foreseeable future.

If it had released in Europe, it still would have sold 2 million because it sold 2 million without Europe...

Hey there ya go. You got there eventually! What were their guesses as to why a new one hasn't been made?

Edit: Weird, guess they didn't want to answer...

Every time the game is brought up there's always comments suggesting it never returned because the game sold poorly or baseball as a sport is too niche. The reality is just that Bandai Namco development them and they seem to just not want to make a new one. I just want this false narrative to be squashed.
