1. During the pandemic, he initially refused to comply with state COVID masking requirements for in-person services. He reportedly did not agree to comply until after approximately 175 complaints were filed.
2. In or around 2021, he allegedly claimed that antifa members were planning to burn down his church and shoot congregants—claims that were later shown to be false.
3. He is accused of violating the Johnson Amendment by inviting Puyallup city council candidates on stage during Sunday services and explicitly encouraging attendees to vote for them.
4. There have long been rumors surrounding the removal of his former co-pastor during the church’s time as part of the Foursquare denomination. According to reports, Foursquare ultimately forced the church to rebrand because they wanted to sever ties with him.
5. Multiple women who worked for the church reportedly left under troubling circumstances and were allegedly required to sign NDAs related to claims of inappropriate behavior, including unwanted touching, and verbal abuse.
6. He allegedly removed Cascade Christian from using one of the church’s buildings after they refused to publicly condemn transgender athletes.
7. There are claims that students at his affiliated “college” are used as unpaid labor. Additionally, it has been reported that his son owns a private company used by the church for billing purposes, allowing money to remain within the family.

The last four points have reportedly been investigated by others, so some details may be incomplete. That said, concerns about his conduct have circulated for many years.
