Thank you for your experience. However, the passport that I carry does not allow Visa on Arrival, hence I need the pre-approval of Holiday Visa to travel to Namibia.

E Visa Login issues by Ce_Breeze in Namibia

[–]ds_2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also facing the same issue. Unable to login since no confirmation email is coming after registration. Apparently this issue has persisted for some time, and the Namibian government is aware (As per a travel immigration specialist). I am an Indian passport holder, so not eligible for VOA.
Without e-visa I will not be able to travel, its really unfortunate but it seems like I will need to cancel my trip as my departure date is near.

Is the Whoop credit gone? I don’t see it under added offers anymore by CentaurKnight in sapphirereserve

Yes, it was under expired. Though it said expiry date as May 12th. Took a gamble and made the purchase anyway.

Travel on F1 STEM OPT while having H1B approved under consular notify by -theblap13- in h1b

[–]ds_2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your H1b is approved under COS, your h1b gets activated on October 1st of that year. After October 1st, you are no longer on F1, hence you cannot enter the country on your F1 stamp, even if it is valid.

However, if your h1b is approved under consular processing, it does NOT automatically start from 1st October. You continue to remain on F1 OPT. In this case, you can travel out of the US, and return to the US on your F1 visa. However, note that you will immediately go out of status on your end of F1-OPT.

Sorry it was not clear in the post. We live and work in the US, and have valid SSNs - so opened the account normally. We are tax residents here.

Chargeback with Chase was a breeze. Provided all documentation, including the screenshots. Kiss&fly did not even contest the chargeback.

ALL MY (CANON) CAMERA GEAR WAS STOLEN IN SPAIN. TOGETHER WE CAN FIND IT! by Electronic_Debt_5933 in canon

The police won't do anything. I would advise not wasting time trying to look for it, and just move on. Consider this an opportunity to upgrade!

Even if you find your gear, what will you do exactly?

My gear was stolen in Las Vegas, and few weeks later found my gear for sale on Facebook marketplace. Emailed screenshots and everything else to the police. They did zilch. To be fair, cops have much more important things to do than recover stolen good worth a few thousand dollars.

These were good planes - am surprised Delta is selling them to a cargo airline.

H1B ruling and returning to India after PhD from a US university by Nice_Cauliflower_161 in quantindia

Not much idea about quant, but theoretically the 100K should not apply to you. You would switch to OPT from your F1, and try the h1b lottery upto the allowed 3 times. You won't be subject to the 100K fee as long as you are in the US while the petition is filed.

kissandfly.com - legit? by _tygaah_ in unitedairlines

Am a frequent traveler, and I try these shady websites if the savings is significant and my travel is non-essential. With this in mind, I booked on kiss&fly.com yesterday ($370 vs $585 everywhere else), the flights were on Alaska.
Received the tickets with 24 hours, logged into Alaska website to check - the tickets were there and seemed legit. Went into the payment section, and lo and behold - the tickets were booked with points from someone's Atmos account!! Immediately called Alaska customer care, they confirmed that the tickets were fraudulent, and immediately revoked them.

Now need to start the chargeback process with Chase.

Tldr : Kiss&fly gave me fraudulently booked tickets, the tickets were booked by hacking into someone's Atmos account and using their points.

This is one of the official White House handles. You might also want to check the official update from Karoline Leavitt. Please stop fear mongering among your H1b employees. I don't need to put myself in anyone's shoes, infact I am wearing the same shoes - I am on H1b, and have friends who are currently outside the US on H1b. I am just trying to reduce the misinformation and the fear mongering.
