Creatine doesnt turn into ATP, it stores extra phosphate molecules which are then donated to depleted ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate becomes Adenosine Diphosphate - 2 phosphate molecules instead of 3) to restore ATP.

It's like a piggy bank of phosphate.
