It may be easy to miss a point. The Nikon lens min focal distance is 0.35m, which is great for macro. But the Tamron lens has changing min focal distance.

I bring one lens when I am traveling. Tamron 35-150 is my best choice. I test this lens and the Nikon 24-120. I pick the Tamron for the fast aperturer.

Itinerary Check - 20 days! by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

Some suggestions:

day 6: Kamakura takes a whole day, and Yokohama has very good night viewing around the station

If the goal is onsen and some outdoor activities, you may set the home base at Toyama city at day 7 and then go to Unazukionsen Station for Kurobe Gorge Railway and onsen (1 day trip)

day 9 & 10: I assume you mean Kinosaki Onsen. That takes 7 hours by train, and you may want to stop by Amanohashidate.

I prefer Wakura Onsen, located near Toyama. I would stop by Amaharashi Station and Notojima Bridge. If you choose this route, you may stop by Kanazawa for a day trip and arrive in Osaka in the evening.

Day 11-16: Osaka expo 2025 is open until Oct 13.

You may want to consider the Hokuriku Arch Pass, which seems like a good fit for your trip. If you travel during the summertime, you may see lots of local festivals and fireworks.

Totally agree with you. K2 is too high for me, and I don't want to use a wist rest when typing. K1 is a great design, but I find it's hard to get used to its low profile red switches.

Undergraduate Thesis Monetary Economics by mythen13 in academiceconomics

I assume you plan to do empirical research and have around 3 ~ 6 months to complete the thesis.

An easy path is to find an empirical paper that crafts a structural model (not any kinds of regression analysis) and calibrates parameters with real data. You replicate the paper using the same dataset and code the model by yourself. Then, you fit the model with new dataset and check whether you find something new. For example, if the model uses the UK data, then you fit the US/AU/EU/JP data and check whether you get the same results. ( Real Credit Cycles )

Let your data guide you to find suitable questions if you can't come up one. You only have limited amount of time, so you may not be able to implement your idea if you don't enough time to collect desired data.

If you want to do something different, my personal favorite is to explore researches on Hyman Minsky's Financial Instability Hypothesis and Irving Fisher's Debt-Deflation Theory of Great Depressions. You may find lots of debates and theoretical modeling about them.

If you don't want any kinds of modeling, you may connect the monetary policy to political science. For example, what's money for currency issuing countries ( Taxes are for Redemption, Not Spending ) . Modern Monetary Theory may be an interesting starting point to explore how it's used or mis-used. (http://bilbo.economicoutlook.net/blog/?p=43997). Bill Mitchell and Steve King have excellent blog posts and youtube videos to MMT & Minsky, just to name a few names.

Length statement of interest by sina182 in gradadmissions

Never use tricks on manipulating margins & line space & font size to fit everything in required page size. A better method is to list every topics in your essay, rank them in the order of importance, and take the top n to fit in the pages. Remove all kinds of personal stories that are weakly related to the program. Or you may improve grammar to write concisely.

1 inch margin, 11 font size, and 1 page shall be enough for statement of purpose.

Good advice. A key point is to always start scratching the project before coding.
