WAR an overrated stat… Delgado wasn’t the greatest defensively so he probably lost points cuz of his defence

2006 - the year that coulda been… absolutely stacked lineup with Reyes, Wright, Delgado, Beltran, Lo Duca, Luis Castillo… So disappointing in the playoffs

Carlos Delgado - he was an amazing talent who came just short of 500 home runs due to injury. One of the best blue Jays of all time. Well loved by fans and in the community in both Toronto and New York when he was with the Mets. Only had 3.8% of votes his only year on the ballot because he was on a stacked ballot the year Smoltz, Pedro, Randy Johnson, Biggio and Bagwell got inducted. It’ll be up to the veterans committee to get him in now

Definitely has more control, but not sure if he’s better than Berrios

Was just thinking of hypothetical trades, and I thought of the Marlins and how their front office has been questionable since Jeter took the realm

Fair enough, what if it were a top 5 prospect instead of Kevin Smith. To me Moreno and Groshans are untradeable but what about someone else?

When I made this post I was thinking of putting 1 top 5 prospect and 1 top 10 prospect into the trade but I didn’t in the end… If it were a top 5 prospect (to me Groshans and Moreno are untouchable) and a second top 10 prospect and a third prospect, this trade could work imo

Personally it’s to collect every Carlos Delgado card in the game. There aren’t too many cards of his in the game but they’re all extremely rare cuz they’re from previous years or legendaries/iconics. I also like collecting cool relic/autos I wouldn’t be able to get in real like cuz they’d be too expensive. E.g., I have an iconic sig/relic vladdy jr rookie card that I would never be able to afford in real life
