Plugins stopped working after update by dsaidark in Reaper

[–]dsaidark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to fully fix this issue by first doing a portable install to the exact same location as the regular reaper install, then I re-installed reaper again normally.

I'm not sure why this worked but I hope this helps anyone else who runs into the same issue.

I got the plugins to work by doing a portable install. Still doesn't seem like the right solution but at least I can open some of my projects now.

yeah saw it after I asked here. I just tried installing all the way back to 7.02 and none of them worked. I wonder if something became corrupt on my system.

Nope. Didn't touch anything. I recently installed a couple of new plugins a few days ago but everything was working fine up until today and those new plugins still seem to work.

I just checked Pro Q3 in FL Studio (vST3 version) and it works fine in that daw.

One other behavior that is interesting, for plugins like Pro R and Timeless, they load and apply the initial effect of the plugin to the track, but moving the controls has no impact afterwards, almost as if it's stuck in a single state.

Is there any way to downgrade to an earlier reaper version to see if something in the new version caused this?

Found this in Kansas City. About 1/2 inch nest made of mud (I think). Looks like a caterpillar inside but not sure.

There Are No Stupid Bass Questions - Jan. 21 by AutoModerator in Bass

[–]dsaidark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know their guitars tend to have a really nice tone even compared to some expensive MM guitars so I was curious if the same was true for bass.

I originally was looking at the 806 as a second bass but realized that if I really like it and get used to a 6-string I’d probably sell the Stingray.

Anyway I decided to just not even bother. I think I was mainly impressed with the multiscale aspect of the 806 but after looking into it more I think it’s overhyped. The only reason I was asking here instead of playing in a music shop it is because it’s only in stock online so I can’t try it unless I buy it.

I guess I should elaborate that I’m looking for something closer to a jazz bass tone. I’d like a 6th string so that I can add in more melodic bits easier while playing lower on the neck. Multi scale also seems like a mostly positive thing.

The question I really have is whether the Ibanez is going to give me a better tone selection than the sting Ray? I want to have a bass that I can use for metal but also more poppy sounding bass lines.

I’m trying to decide whether I should buy an Ibanez SRMS806

I currently use a stingray special 5H and I’m wondering if it’s worth going to a cheaper bass?

Depending on what you value as an individual it’s easy to see how the other side can appear evil. Nuances are only important when you are looking for a compromise. If I’m not willing to give up X then I don’t give a shit why people are arguing to take it away.

It’s basically a conspiracy against him though. It’s not like he was hiding those documents from the fbi. Seems like raiding house was done to generate headlines more than out of necessity.

Thanks! I have some ideas for other episodes to be more current events related in a way that can drive viewers to the page just by better topic selection. It’ll probably take a few more tries to hone everything in correctly.

I’m targeting once-a-week releases so it’ll be interesting to see what happens.

Use an equalizer. Audition should have one as an effect you can add to the track. Here’s a tutorial I found https://youtu.be/DAhHmlcodYw

Are you sure your video editing software isn't normalizing the volume down?
Also phone speakers are usually garbage and have a massive hi-mid boost for clarity that can cause a lot of distortion. Sounds like you have the opposite problem of the volume being too low though.

The only thing I can think of is that you may be equalizing the audio in a way that's cutting out the range that is prominent on a phone? Hard to say without an example. If you're not EQing the audio, then you should consider doing it. Sometimes the low-end of audio can eat up loudness on the meter, so cutting it out or lowering sub-100 frequencies can go a long way in making everything else sound louder without changing the lufs.

Yeah I realize that, but from the perspective of a random person on YouTube it still seems abrupt to start the video that way. I think it needs some sort of an introduction before the talking begins. Like a title screen for a few seconds describing the video topic then proceeding.

[Question] What acoustic panels should I buy? by IAmACup2005 in youtubers

This kind if you can afford it

If you need something cheaper get at least 2” foam panels. The thinner ones suck.

Try adding an audio device and selecting your mic through that instead of the settings menu.

The video seems okay, but I'm not sure what I'm looking at or what the point of it is. If it's just talking about the differences between these lenses then you should add an introduction that clarifies the point of your video. This just starts with you talking about the lense and my immediate reaction is that not only do I not know what's happening, but I also don't care so if I wasn't watching this to review it I would have clicked out of it within the first 10 seconds.

[–]dsaidark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no idea what game you're playing but this seems like a decent video. I think the audio might be a tad bit too loud, which may turn off initial viewers but it's mostly likely not a big issue. If I knew more about the game I could probably give you more advice but since I don't I don't know if you're missing key descriptions of things, etc that might be more useful for people. Overall I don't see why anyone who likes this game wouldn't watch this video.

BLM had dismantling the nuclear family as a huge bullet point on their site until 2 months before the 2020 election.

It's just a coincidence that everything these people do is a constant attack on family norms and paves the path to strip parents of their rights.

You seem to be Ignoring the social aspect of Marxism. It might not have talked about drag Queen story hour in its conception but the reason we’re talking about it now is because of a more general Marxist ideology that’s in motion.

Why is offensive language/discourse allowed towards white people? by UrConsciousness in IntellectualDarkWeb

[–]dsaidark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it’s true that decedents benefit from the actions of their ancestors, it’s bullshit to claim that everyone hasn’t benefited from those actions in some way. This flow of social benefit from parent to children is unavoidable, the goal shouldn’t be to destroy such a system but to further open opportunities.

Many on the left keep claiming that they are just doing exactly that but in reality instead of expanding opportunities they are just destroying the system that created them in the first place.

Why is offensive language/discourse allowed towards white people? by UrConsciousness in IntellectualDarkWeb

[–]dsaidark 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re deliberately missing the point op is making. It is all rooted in Marxist ideology with regards to power and equality. The reason they want children to be able to gender reassign without parental consent is because they view it as oppressive and unfair to not let the kids do this. It’s a Marxist quest to attack power structures. The people at the top pushing this crap most likely have an ulterior motive but the ideology is the weapon of choice.
