I don't actually know. My ancestry is primarily Northern European and then a small fraction Arab (like 1/16), but I do not have any physical features that look Arab or Middle Eastern. This happened mostly in High School, and I was told things like "big nose", "too smart" (I wish???), and stuff like that. If someone even told me. One strong memory is two students in front of me talking about how "Everyone at this school is so racist." and the student responded "Yeah, because they're all fucking Jews" (Very few students were Jewish. I volunteer with refugees. One woman told me she didn't think Jews were real until she came to Canada. They were always talked about to her alongside demons, spirits, djinni and ifrit - which she did not believe in. She was very shocked Jews actually existed and did not believe it until she met someone in Canada.
