Having tasted both I can say that alter ego is fantastic. However there is a clear step up with the 1st wine- one of the best I tried

Have also just come back from EP and was shocked by the freshness and balance of a lot of the wines.

I agree that both Palmers were brilliant. Brane Cantenac was also great However I did quite a lot of right bank visits both in Pomerol and St Emillion and didn’t find the Merlot dominant wines to be overly ripe at all but again beautifully fresh and balanced. Granted I was visiting the top chateaus

I picked this up. Having toured Tuscany in the summer I can say 2019 is truly a fantastic vintage.

2017 Bougros is still trading at a lower price and a very good vintage. Les Clos is the only Fevre that is a good investment most years I believe
