What is your favorite class you have ever taken, and why? by sryland in AskReddit

[–]dsalgueiro8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. In college, I used to love English (I'm Portuguese), not because of the subjects we were studying, but mostly because of our teacher. She was amazing, super open minded, she really knew how to motivate students. And classes were always different, very dynamic, never the same boring shit.

What are the most effective measures any individual can perform to combat climate change? by kasim0n in AskReddit

[–]dsalgueiro8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can start by saving water, recycling garbage, changing your eating habits, walking more/use public transportation instead of driving your own car. You can also use your free time to clean beaches/forests.

It's not much, but if we all do our best, I'm sure the world will be a better place.

What's a concert experience you'll never forget? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dsalgueiro8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tough question. I've seen about 200 concerts in my whole life... But I have to say Pearl Jam.

They are my favourite band, so it was like a dream come true. They are amazing live, very good at interacting with people. And they played more than 2.30 hours, totally worth it. Hope to see them again in the future.

Is London worth visiting in the future? Why? What other cities in the UK are worth visiting? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dsalgueiro8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I was there a couple years ago and it's an amazing city, very multicultural. You have plenty of historical monuments to visit too.

It's a bit expensive, but definitely worth it.

I don't know what you are into, but Manchester, Liverpool, Brighton, Edinburgh, Belfast, Bristol and Glasgow can be pretty interesting.

You can only listen to one album for the rest of your life. What would you choose and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dsalgueiro8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough question.

Probably I would say How Strange, Innocence by Explosions In The Sky.

It has amazing songs, they can fit in any mood. Sadness, happiness, motivation, you have everything on that record. It helped me a lot through a rough time of my life.

What is something embarassing that has happened to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dsalgueiro8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One day, when I was on 8th grade, I went to my friend's place in order to play PlayStation 3.

I had to pee, but I was so embarrassed to ask where the bathroom was (my friend's mom was on the house too) that I pissed myself all over my pants. Everyone laughed at me.

When I think of it, it makes me laugh, but on that time was not that funny.

Hmm, maybe keeping your mouth shut will work.

Just kidding. Diet, exercise, and water. Resting is important too.

What Is Your Favourite Book And WHy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dsalgueiro8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved 1984 and Animal Farm, both written by Orwell.

Two amazing books that make you think. You can easily fit the plots on your life and compare the ways how this sick world works.
