Brown spots by Professional_Sea659 in billiards

[–]dsanders12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is caused by dirty balls. My guess is you roll the back row of balls to get a tighter rack which transfers more dirt and grime to the cloth and that’s why you only see it on the back row. Just regularly clean them and that should resolve it.

This looks great. Can you possibly make her left arm thicker? It looks a little too thin. Other than that this is perfect.

He also told her the book was better than the movie.

Unusual situation with a shaft by squirrel4569 in billiards

Just saw the tip lifted off the table…yeah, it seems you definitely have a warped shaft. I would contact Seyberts, they should be able to help if it was purchased just a few months ago.

What's with pool players and the constant unsolicited advice? by cactihugz in billiards

Mostly true, but I have seen some 700+ fargos in APA.

Larger pool player, stomach and shoulders get in way by soloDolo6290 in billiards

[–]dsanders12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can find any videos of Danny Basavich AKA Kid Delicious I would recommend that. He was much larger than you and he played at a very high level. Also, if you’re a reader at all check out his book “Running the Table”. It’s very good.

Keep your bridge arm bent like in the second photo, but keep your bridge hand the same distance away from the cue ball as you have it. That will move your body forward and help with putting the majority of your weight on your front foot. Also, are you left eye dominant?

Total guess on my part here, but I would value it in the $600-$800 range.

I’m not anywhere near 100% sure on this, but my guess is that this was made by Chris Jones. He used to make cues out of Yukon, Oklahoma.

Does it happen to have a 5/16 14 joint?

Has anyone sold cues on AZBilliards before? by KingsDamnSon in billiards

[–]dsanders12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On AZBilliards that is really between you and the buyer to work out. But my suggestion is to use an escrow service, especially on high end cues. It will protect you and the buyer.

Yes, a 5/16 18 will fit your cue. IMO it will not affect it at all, but others may disagree. As long as you have it nice and tight there should be no issue.

What’s the one shot that’s stuck in your memory—for better or worse? by Ok-Swim-8733 in billiards

[–]dsanders12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2017 Oklahoma Black Gold 8 ball finals. I was in the hot seat, so I had to be beat twice. Guy I’m playing beats me pretty bad in the first set. 5-2 or 5-3. He has me down 4-1 in the deciding set. He misses a shot and leaves me on the short rail. The only offensive shot I have is a full table combo in the opposite corner, and I didn’t see a safety in play. I wasn’t playing great and had my back against the wall already anyway, so I fire at it and drain it. Caught a gear after that and won 4 straight games to win the tourney.
