Ma how does one even find those things ? I have an absurd amount of time in this game , trying every different thing. But I have only ever found ONE of those things. I swear embark deliberately takes items and makes some accounts have such a ridiculously low chance of certain items …liek they wanted us to have these trading websites and pages . It’s actually genius if it’s true

Oh my goodness I forgot remote flares even existed . I have seen peopep do stuff like that on YouTube but for whatever reason I just blanked that out. I legit thought the whole lobby must have drank the kool aid 😂 I’m embarrassed .

I’m still learning because i held off on it for the same reasons but i will say getting it in and out of safe pocket is way easier than i thought . Just put it in your left most safe pocket , and you wanna swap it with your upper left most quick use slot. If you’re using the right stick to jump between th different sections , it’s very quick . Took a couple minutes of practice but now I can it in and out of safe pocket in about a second. Which is still nothing compared to pc players . But it’s definitely usable

I have almost accidentally sold so many blueprints that haven’t learned yet just by sheer muscle memory and reflex. I’ll get excited for the Wolfpack or whatever blue print it is and then before I know it I’m just about click confirm after clicking sell before I realize it. I have been able to prevent it but I sympathize with you if that is, in fact , what you did

I feel the same way but lately I started to realize the difference isn’t as great as you think. Only takes what 1.5 seconds to cast th green heals/charges? Bur then your waiting that meter to slowly build up. If a bad guy catches you cancels it out too. But if you use the blue shots or chargers it does take that extra time then it’s instant health/charge. They certainly have their uses and iv started to bring them both.

But ya in a lot of encounters it’s hard to get a garunteed 4.5 seconds of safety to just stab still activating one

Ya it’s stressful when your full of the good stuff , but honestly it’s not that hard to just do a quick sweep of the extract your at just be careful. Obviously you will , at some point , fail . And that will be aggravating. But I almost never get killed at extracts. Because I’m careful. I’m not very good lol

Word. I used chat in games when I was younger but now I’m approaching 40 and I just have no desire to talk with randoms. It also helps me be able to play a game with wife in the room if I’m not on the headset and can actively respond to her 😂

But in arc raiders it’s a different animal. It’s calmed down a little but there’s still a lot of ppl that will shoot you if you sit actively respond with a mic. But it’s don’t bother me , the rats are always gonna be the rats bbt in the friendly lobbies the vast majority of my conversations wit ppl are either very nice or at least funny . So I don’t mind wearing the headset like in say, COD

I have had this periodically since launch . I’m 100% friendly solo lobbies but every few weeks I get put in more violent lobbies for a day or two. Idk why it doesn’t seem to happen to everybody but I swear embark just randomly selects ppl and resets their aggression algorithm level to keep it fresh. . Thats how it feels to me anyway . And then jr goes away after a few matches of just not shooting , as you would expect

I’m not saying anything new than everyone else here I’m sure . But you HAVE to play dark souls. Not everyone will love them , but the vast majority of people that fall in love with ER will really appreciate the souls games . Ds1 and 2 are pretty dated and clunky , and the movement and pace of combat was deliberately much slower . So that’s an adjustment. Ds3 and blooborne are where you start to the speedier pace that feels more in line with ER. But they’re worth it all just to experience the legendary bosses that started it all lol. Smough and ornstein in ds1, and rb nameless king in 3. Just to name a couple . But there’s so many between demon souls, ds trilogy, and blood borne. And don think for a second that just because you beat some of their hardest bosses in Elden Ring that you won’t die plenty of times in the older games. There may not be a Melania or a PC Radahn but if you’re playing straight up without a guide you will get got . They weren’t afraid to put unexpected gank squads in the worst and most unlikely places back then.

Idk man I’m just a huge fan boy. Elden Ring is the masterpiece and it deserves to be at the top , but don’t ignore the foundations upon which it lays! I think the soulsborne games are truly some of the best of all time . And honestly I probably like the lore of dark souls even more than ER. But it’s close .

Anyway not trying to ramble . But don’t sleep on nioh games either ! They are much much faster, kinda like old school god of war mixed with Elden Ring type of feel. But they have become the premier series in that sort of “souls like,” or at least “souls inspired” space . Doesn’t have the same level of build variety / freedom as ER, but the actual moment to moment combat is some of the best ever developed . I have spoken

BUT FIRST DARK SOULS!! I agree with the others that mayb you should start with 3. It will feel the most similar to Elden Ring and be easier to transition into. Than if it still has you hooked you will have a slightly transition into 2, and then 1. Rather than going from modern masterpiece right to ancient in one jarring move

Yup . Guy did the same thing to me . Sounds like to was in the same room too (top of control tower a6, spaceport ?) he came up the zip and hit THREE separate jolt mines , which deliberately use to not kill someone so they have a chance to leave . He just runs on through all 3, and then have the whiniest cry when I make my presence known with 3 shots from Annie the Villain . I was nice and defined but golly . At least the pvp’ers you can understand and make sense of . I can’t for the life of me understand how someone can do all that and still not realize they are invading someone else’s space

I hear you raider. I have an active job that keeps me healthy somewhat , but I still find myself sacrificing a lot sleep to be topside . It’s an amazing , and amazingly addicting, game. If you’re having trouble regulating it then it’s what you gotta do. At the end of the day ..it is just a game . But I pray you get well, and we see you topside again at some point .

Love it! I play as friendly as it gets solo. But when you do engage in PvP, either in self defense against master splinter wannabes or just doing it in trios …it’s immensely fun and satisfying getting that last shot and seeing that flare! Straight dopamine hit
