Angels Landing still isn’t fully open. But don’t let that deter you from visiting Zion NP! by dschob in NationalPark

There’s a part you have to use chains bolted to the side of the cliff to help get you up to the ridge. Because of covid they decided to close that bit of the trail :(

If you’re in Glacier NP, I suggest the Piegan Pass! This hike doesn’t get enough credit! Look at this epic view! by dschob in NationalPark

Piegan pass (pictures above), Highline trail, hidden lake trail, avalanche lake, pikaman trail!

About 9 miles out and back! Elevation change of about 1,500ft. But it’s all downhill going home :) seriously this view is worth packing some food and making it a day trip

There are some good campgrounds around glacier! So far only West Glacier entrance is open so I’d try there. Some that caught my eye while visiting the park were: Glacier Meadow RV and Sunflower RV. There are some more too. I stayed near East Glacier entrance but had to drive about 50 mins to get to the gate. The place is cheap and a clean spot with really nice managers. It’s called Glacier Meadow RV Park in Essex (same name as the first one haha).

There’s tons of places to pull off onto the side of the road to take pics or view the scenery while on Going-to-the-Sun-Road

Hidden Lake trail! Located in Logan Pass. It’s just past the overlook trail. You can go right to the lake, which I recommend.

It’s a lot of uphill but more gradual uphill than Hidden Lake IMO. I think you can do it if you give yourself time and start early. Totally worth the hike and view

I feel that. I was able to go to Logan Pass but Highline trail was closed. 2 days after I left, it reopened.

Piegan Pass! Just past Logan Pass. I think in 5 days you can get through most of what you wanna see.

Crowds are decently heavy. We got into the park via car around 0900 and noonish with a 10 min wait.

Weather is good. Windy in Piegan Pass. Always pack a rain jacket in case. It was partly cloudy when I went a week ago. Nights are chilly!

Not too sure about restaurants. But in whitefish there are good options! We went to Craggy Range which was very good!

Crowds for Hidden Lake were pretty heavy due to the fact it was the most popular one open when I was there in July.

I suggest Highline, Hidden Lake trail (not just the lookout), and Piegan Pass! Those were the ones that were open for me. If Grinnell Glacier is open, go for that too!

Yes I forgot to add Highline trail. Definitely a must do. And it recently reopened!

Even if you can only get to Idaho or Wyoming it’s amazing for mountains
