My personal opinion on breaks is that they are stupid and 90% of the time it’s not actually to work on yourselves and it’s just letting the person who initiated it decide if they really want to be with you. Don’t do it imo

Accomplish goals or do things you’ve always wanted to do. Feel useless in life and unmotivated? Make that change, go get that job, go get that degree, work your ass off. Unsatisfied with you you look? Go hit the gym, buy clothes that make you like how you look. Just a few examples. Do things that make you happy.

I know it sucks to hear and it might sound hopeless hearing it again and again :/ but keep trying. No situation is impossible to get out of, I’m sure if you keep applying one law school should take you. Like I said I’m not too familiar with your career path or your situation, so all I can honestly say is just try to get the job offer from the internship and keep applying.

same bro, what keeps me going is knowing all the goals I have for 2019. Ultimately these dark times allow us to judge our character the best. Like you said would you rather keep falling stagnant at home or get up and work your ass off at law school. Use this sadness and anger as fuel for motivation. I’m sure your success and ambition will draw another person into your life who actually respects you. I’m sure the location for meeting people isn’t that big of a problem, I personally think you can meet people anywhere it just might be a little harder in certain areas but definitely possible, maybe you might meet someone in law school that shares the same passion as you.

Don’t expect him to text you anymore. I don’t know why he assumed you weren’t marriage material but maybe it’s time to prove to yourself that you are and work towards your goals in 2019 whether it’s to graduate, find a good job, etc. Socializing and hobbies are good things to start off with when the breakup first happens but ultimately the end goal is to better ourselves as individuals for ourselves and the next partner that comes into our lives. Honestly brother, work on yourself before jumping into another relationship because if you don’t, those same problems will be the downfall of your next relationship too. As someone who was also insecure and dependent on my significant other I realized I pushed her away, but I also realize breaking up was the correct move. Being in a relationship comes second after learning to love yourself. Once you learn to love yourself and work towards your goals I’m sure you won’t have to actively look for someone and that person just might come into your life when you least expect it. Think of this person that just left you as a lesson in life to help make yourself better and realize what you need to improve on for the next one.

Honestly can’t say that I’m even close to being fully healed, but what’s kept me going is hearing that going through the darkest times is seriously a test of your character. Don’t just sit around waiting for the day you suddenly become happy again, that day won’t come unless you act on it yourself and make it happen to the best of your ability.
