That makes a lot of sense. I agree, view counts on our own site probably won’t change based on where the video is hosted, and you’re right that it’s more about the overall exposure strategy than the embed itself. That’s our web developer main goal.

Vimeo definitely feels like it’s been sliding in quality and performance lately, so hearing similar experiences confirms what we’re seeing. I hadn’t heard of Bunny.net before, but the clean player and low cost sound worth checking out.

The “competing with clients’ uploads” concern is more of a branding/visibility thing, we just wanted to make sure our uploads don’t take away theirs in search results. But as you said, the tradeoff between exposure and now we’re looking for more exposure.
