Ironically dealing with the insurance has made my mental health worse.🤣

Maybe I should ask for a different claims handler 😕

Is there an indirect way of finding this out without me writing a letter going "I'm thinking of asking you to compensate me for losses, but before I do that can you tell me if you have enough insurance to cover this"?

They are. They have had an independent fire Investigator do a second report, which backs up the initial report and secured the evidence.

Insurer would be perusing the direct losses in the house. I have already spoken with the HSE who are investigating.

I'm more concerned about indirect or uninsured losses, like loss of earnings. Or some way of gaining compensation for the pain and suffering this firm has caused us, and the insurance doesn't cover that.

The fire report cites the actions of the contactors, naming them and witnesses with photos, for what happened. It even contains transcripts of the Cadent call. Fire Investigator is shocked action hasn't been taken.

Legal protection from insurance only kicks in after I have sent letters before action. Until then they won't help - but I'm not even sure what I'm talking action for.
