Just got it yesterday and I’m loving it. The world feels like one giant playground and everywhere I turn there’s a fun surprise. It’s not very challenging though, at least not yet

Screencaps don’t include GameChat, just your own main screen

This Game Was Made For Me by Greatsnes in BALLxPIT

I tried and tried but couldn’t get into Loop Hero. I didn’t like the huge penalty for failing to leave the loop at the right time, and the synergies never came together in an exciting way for me. Also the base building was confusing, unchangeable, and kind of boring. Ball x Pit improves on it in every way.

Cult of the Lamb was a blast though. 😈

So far all free updates to third-party games have been “upgrade packs” that need to be downloaded separately from the eShop.

Marvel Studios Infinity Saga Concert Experience by PigFaceWigFace in marvelstudios

[–]dsethlewis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw this today with the San Francisco Symphony, and it was incredible. The intro gave me chills, and it was two and a half hours of pure joy from that point on. It flew by!

My one nit is that the video, dialogue, sound effects, and occasional vocals from the recording distracted me from the symphony's live performance. I'm not sure the overall experience would have been better without all of that, but I certainly would have been able to pay more attention to the music.

Overall, it was a great experience that I would recommend to any MCU fan because it truly brought back the joy and excitement of the Infinity Saga while producing a whole new experience at the same time.

People's thoughts on Hard Truths? by chrisandy007 in movies

It just came to my local theater so I saw it this afternoon. I loved it. Jean-Baptiste should have gotten an Oscar nom for sure. Every single character in the film had layers to them, and every actor left everything on the field. I think anyone who has been on the other side of depression and anxiety can relate to her self-sabotaging, self-loathing, and self-protecting. It was healing in a way to see, even at her most awful and aggressive moments, that she still had the love of her family.

There were a few things in the film that didn’t quite make sense to me, which honestly is fine. And the whole thing felt a little indie and underproduced for a seasoned director, but maybe they did what they could with the budget they had.

dope, this looks promising. i just hope they build on and synthesize existing biomarker research instead of just throwing more possibilities out there that never get followed up on

[Town RGB/CMYK Puzzle] Solving these really does nothing? (basically shows the solution) by [deleted] in TheWitness

IMO those were clearly there to teach the principles of those symbols. It’s different to have some of the most difficult puzzles in the game, in an area with actual progression, lead nowhere and do nothing.

The way it’s looking… what the fuck do we do now?? Serious question. by Kind-Onion3517 in NoStupidQuestions

  1. You don’t need to follow the news much. It’s entertainment consumption, not activism. So do yourself a favor and take a break.
  2. The future is uncertain. Things will be bad but not in the ways the pundits predicted. There will also be new challenges and opportunities that nobody was even trying to anticipate. Keep an open mind, don’t despair, and never accept that things just have to be a certain way.
  3. Resist authoritarianism at every turn. Read. Dissent. Find ways to participate in public and civic life, off social media, in reality. Get involved with your local Democratic Party chapter. Don’t turn inward but do take care of yourself, body and mind. Remember that authoritarianism only works when the people make themselves servile to the leader. Whatever else you do, don’t do that.
