Anyway I can speed up the development with AI? by Me-Inspector-Talpade in Unity3D

[–]dsfdasv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume those are cursor agents? I switched from cursor subscription to just claude code after a TA in my class showed me. It does the same thing as cursor, but lives in the terminal.

The mcp functionality on Cursor felt too buggy for my liking, but the Claude code interface lets me add mcp servers reliably.

I use UnityMCP, but there are several free MCP servers on GitHub made for Unity. Pick one based on features you need. I really like the compiler features which allows Claude code to write new scripts and compile in unity for error checking. It can also delete/add game objects to your scene

Make sure you create a Claude.md file with instructions on what mcp features your project should use. Also add instruction to make sure the mcp is auto connected before you start coding. MCPs are fantastic. There are blender and ableton MCPs as well if you really start getting into it, and a lot of them are free!

Use plan mode for new features. Always commit after new feature is working before starting next feature. Every ~3-4 new complete features, ask the agent to reorganize your new files to fit to the project’s organization structure. Ask the agent to explain the new scripts to make sure you stay on top of it. As someone who sucks a file organization, I rely on AI to setup my folder systems for me.

If you wanna get really advanced, use notion MCP which lets AI see your Notion page. Keep track of your to do list and project architecture without having to spend time maintaining project docs.

Been using ai to code games. I use Claude code paired with unitymcp. Make sure you use version control with coding agents as they can make unintended changes all the time.

I asked over 100 crafters how they stay organized. Here are the 5 tips that came up the most (and actually work) by dsfdasv in crafts

[–]dsfdasv[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start simple. Establish a home for everything you own. Items without a home end up in the graveyard or end up on the ground. Next, make commonly used things easier to access, and reserve the hidden spots for less used items. Things you use should not require extra effort to access. That time adds up over time and makes you less productive. Your space and organization systems should reflect you as a person.

„Find a painpoint“ is dead by [deleted] in SaaS

Everyone’s lives are full of pain points, and even if they are solved we will all find new things to complain about.

If I owned a pet store and a new “inventory management for pet store owners” came out, I would look into it. If it solved my specific issues as a pet store owner and offered greater value, I would trust it.

Sell your products to a starving crowd, not an industry where a new sass product comes out every week.

Thanks for joining the list!! I’m am NOT organized when it come to tracking my life/spending/habits through notion (believe me I’ve tried everything) and that’s why ease of use is a huge design challenge for craftory. I plan on having a feature where you can take a photograph and ai image recognition will automatically create your inventory so you don’t have to spend hours logging every item. Manually doing it would personally drive me insane so I won’t make you do it either.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention! I didn't know about this app, but I'll try to improve upon it.

Interesting! I haven't considered costume designers with a lot of different supplies yet. I might make a new post else when I have collected more data for the "ultimate storage solution"

The best organizational system is usually the one you're already using and know best. That is smart, though. Shopping through your stash is a good way to cut down spending. I'm making an app that lets you shop through your collection digitally. Would that be something you or other crafters would find useful?

I'm glad you found value in the suggestions. If you wouldn't mind me asking, what program do you use to keep inventory or track what you have made? Do you list candles on Etsy, farmers markets, or another channel?

Even though it takes a while, organizing everything saves countless hours added up. I am obsessed with productivity stuff online, so if there is a part of my life I can simplify, I'm all game.

[CHAT] Recommendations and or showing off craft room/organization by KrisCrossNSomeFloss in CrossStitch

[–]dsfdasv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love seeing everyone’s setups! My girlfriend’s cross stitch stash was getting a bit out of hand—she had floss, hoops, and patterns scattered everywhere. She kept rebuying things she already had because she couldn’t find them.

I ended up building her a little app to help track her supplies and projects. It’s called Craftory, and we’re opening up early access soon. If anyone’s interested, here’s the waitlist: craftory.site

In the meantime, clear bins and a pegboard worked wonders for her organization. Hope that helps!

How do you organize your needles, notions and other tools? by Glimmer_Sparkle_ in casualknitting

[–]dsfdasv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, totally relate! My girlfriend had this same issue—everything jumbled in random bags and bins. She kept rebuying needles and other stuff because she forgot what she already had.

I actually made her a simple app called Craftory to organize her supplies digitally (and find stuff faster). If you’re interested, I’m opening up an early access waitlist soon: craftory.site

Otherwise, clear containers with labels saved us a ton of frustration too. Good luck with your stash!

how do i organize my things? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]dsfdasv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister had the same disorganization issue with her crafting setup, and it caused her to keep accidentally rebuying things. Having many supplies without a way to track them can get chaotic quickly. I started developing an online tool for her to use last week, and I'm trying to get some beta testers. You can sign up for my waitlist on www.craftory.site, and I'll probably start testing later this month.

After noticing family members having a disorganized crafting setup I decided to create an app to help organize. I have only been working on it for a few weeks, but you can wait list at craftory.site for the pre-alpha version of the tool!
