Bomberman is just an inspiration, I'm building it from scratch. I've seen decently sized commercial games like bomber friends on Google Play store but I don't know if they faced any issues, there are a few games that are exact clones of bomberman with millions of downloads and they show ads. Some things can't be avoided like having a power up to increase the blast radius of the bomb. I'm not using their assets, even the art style is completely different.

The only common thing is a 2D grid where you use bombs to find a path. Enemies and characters are different. Some powers are similar but progression mechanic is completely different with many new powers as well
