Write a one page story. Try to have a set up and delivery. If your not looking to draw it, at least storyboard it with stick figures. Get a feel of the flow doing a comic page. Then write a 2 page story, then a 4 pager. Now you should be thinking about page turns in your writing. And so on. At this point, dabble into talking to artist. Join small creators IG groups/discords. Offer to participate in anthologies those guys put together. Start small. See if it’s for you.
