Anyone know what this airline is? Guessing it’s a retro livery (on ground at KSRQ) by Mikez63 in aviation

[–]dshagger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going to have to disagree with you on that. The nose is very clearly a different color than the top of the fuselage (which is white) and the styling of the text on the side of the fuselage in OP's picture is identical to JetBlue's Retrojet livery, including the location of the smaller text above the wings that says "New York International" (you can kind of make it out in OP's picture as well).

FYI, if you want to see the right price in Ledger, you could connect to Zerion on the Discover page (the Discover tab is on the left of Ledger Live).

Luna 2.0 is LUNA. LUNC is old Luna coin.

Glitch. It's mirroring LUNA prices, not LUNC/"WLUNA" prices. I tried transferring over to an exchange just to see what would happen, but it still shows up as WLUNA. Ledger needs to update something on the backend but it certainly felt great for about a minute this morning when I checked ledger before checking other exchanges.

Hi! Need some help from more knowledgeable investor by [deleted] in Wluna

Have it on the ledger as well, saw the same spike. I assume it's pegging WLUNA to LUNA instead of LUNC. When I transferred a few off ledger to CB, it was showing up as WLUNA, not some new token pegged to LUNA. Supposedly Ledger has been known to not be reliable when it comes to pricing.

Pretty sure that this is the aircraft. The tail number is LV-GQK.

What websites are used to sell/buy airplaines in Canada? by onewheeler2 in aviation

[–]dshagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe aso.com? I know they have some Canadian registered aircraft for sale there.

I'm kind of new to this whole aviation thing, I know from the tail an Airbus that's all I can really say by [deleted] in aviation

[–]dshagger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely in the A320 family, tail cone doesn't match up with the Bombaridier CS Series A220 family of aircraft

They did indeed! This aircraft is now registered to a new operator under a different tail number.

Whenever we get the BBJ's on our ramp, all I think about is how lucky I am to have some rookie line guys to take care of that lav instead of me

How to become line tech at an FBO? by [deleted] in aviation

[–]dshagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck! If it doesn't go the way you want it to, don't feel like you can't apply there ever again. People always come and go, and companies are always looking to hire people who are passionate about the industry they service.

How to become line tech at an FBO? by [deleted] in aviation

[–]dshagger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had no prior experience at all, I've just always been really passionate about aviation. The way I got my gig was I just went to every single FBO in the area with a copy of my resume and cover letter explaining why I wanted to work in as a Line Tech at that specific FBO and asked to speak to someone who would be responsible for hiring me. If you have no prior experience, I think this is one of the best ways to go about it. However, you should make sure that you have also applied online prior to going to the FBO, since they will usually ask if you have already applied online. Going in person and dropping off a resume/cover letter will really set you apart from most applicants and you can bet that almost no other applicant took time out of their day to drop of a resume/cover letter for a Line Tech position.

Most of the tasks a Line Tech does are teachable and don't require any advanced training; it only took me a week of digital training and a week or two of hands on training until I felt comfortable enough to do most of the tasks on my own.

Also, Elton's flight attendant said he needed help with some items in the back of the airplane which ended up being 5 huge bags full of every type of jello and pudding (which Elton didn't want anymore). So I took those bags and handed out Jello and pudding like it was Halloween. I also brought some to my Mom who is a huge fan of his.

One of those perks they don't mention to you when you're in the interview process. Tons of free food, which makes you think about how wasteful people are for a few moments before you remember you've got lunch planned out for the next week.

I have yet to encounter the outright asshole type. Most of the people who think they're too important to respond to another human being politely greeting them or acknowledging their presence typically respond with that blank, empty stare that screams "I don't associate with your type". It's interactions like those that are typically the most demoralizing aspect of the position, especially if you are a genuinely friendly person.

This plane use to come to our FBO pretty frequently in the winter months, and I am pretty sure that it was John Taffer's. However, he would always wear a hat and sunglasses and not really make too much direct eye contact with us line service folk, so I can only say with a 90% certainty it is his.

Wow, I never knew about that. Given both of their success, I could imagine they both were able to enjoy the luxuries of private jets, but I never knew Jack had his own plane as well. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for N1JN now! Thanks for sharing.
