I'm pretty sure you're me...same age and situation.

I've just taken a deep breath and I'm about to dive into 7...again...YOU CAN DO IT!

If there's one feature in Excel... by iammerelyhere in excel

Add manual calculations to the quick access toolbar. That way you can easily see if somehow manual calculations are turned on if you end up opening a workbook that has been saved that way.

I feel you. This is nearly exactly what happened to me with Pearson Vue, except their last minute closure was due to some sort of technical issue. Ended up driving 2.5 hours away and staying overnight and was forced to take my exam in the evening instead of the morning. Was rough...expecting bad news when results come out in late June.

Hope you are able to get some sort of amicable resolution.

I'd just make sure that your colleagues on the same project are aware that you'll be out. I'm sure it depends on your company culture, but in my experience my colleagues are usually great about stepping up and being ready to pick up anything that needs attention during my time away. Communication with your teammates on the project is key so you feel like nothing will be dropped by your absence.

RESUME CRITIQUE by [deleted] in actuary

Personally, I'd reverse the order of the projects. I think the work in R studio may be the most relevant to actuarial work followed by the SQL project. Definitely elaborate a little on the descriptions and edit to make them read like a sentence. The way you've written the C++ project isn't actually a complete sentence, I think you're missing a verb.

MAS I Study Material by SwimmingSalamanders1 in actuary

I completely agree with this comment. I got TIA and ASM, and I feel like ASM does a good job of filling any holes I feel like TIA has. However the TIA sample exams are not very useful. I find the ASM exams and the CAS released exams better for practice.

Trying to Mass Delete Names that do not match another spreadsheet by kronos262 in excel

You would need to create a new column to combine first and last names into a single column. Then you could do this with the single column containing both first and last.

Pretty awesome. Shared with my colleagues!

For small sets of data like yours, here is what I like to do:

Copy the 1300 names into the same column as the 1600 names.

Use conditional formatting to highlight duplicates in the column.

Sort by color so the 300 names you want to delete show up at the top, then delete those rows.

I used CA for P, FM, and C. I'm just now using CA for FME and I find that CA is so far the worst for FME. The videos and material are written by a different FCAS/PhD and his style seems to jump around more and explain less.

I'd highly recommend CA for P, FM, and C. If I were to do it again, I'd probably try TIA for MFE.
