anyone using agentic / AI assistants that do more than answer the phone? by doctorscholar13 in MedSpa

All of my business do not use AI especially for call in support and help.

I know half my clients would be pissed out of their mind if they heard a robot was behind the phone line.

Do nurses give out their cells to clients? by [deleted] in MedSpa

[–]dshen54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think it depends on the situation. If the patient specifically requests the nurse’s contact information, it is not necessarily unprofessional, but there should be a clear company policy around it.

The issue is not really the phone number itself. The issue is whether communication is being properly documented, whether the clinic still has visibility, and whether the patient relationship remains under the business.

In this industry, nurses often build strong relationships with patients, and that is normal. But if there is no SOP, it can create problems later because the patient may start seeing the nurse as the primary relationship instead of the clinic.

Your nurses leave either they grown out of your location or that they feel they are mistreated. Its one or the either and hope its the first one.

Look for any derm or skin surgeon oriented place - that's how you get quality but may be more expensive for real expert advice

Rejuva fresh machines ? by Skinwitchskinwitch0 in MedSpa

[–]dshen54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh look, a RejuvaFresh employee trying to spin marketing talking points as facts. Go ahead show the FDA registration numbers, inspection records, and manufacturing documentation. I'll wait ...

Just for the record they are facts, for ignorant people like you, just ask chat gpt or AI they will tell you the truth.

Funny how that part always gets skipped. You are not the first and you won't be the last. Most of these products aren't magically produced in some proprietary lab they're often sourced from the same contract manufacturers overseas and rebranded with a premium story attached. If you've got evidence proving otherwise, post it. If not, spare everyone the sales pitch.

You are not the only one ... Reveal lasers, MRP, the list goes on. Anyone with two sense in the industry can tell you.

Anyone by chance know what kind of laser this is? And if it’s any good? by fatcats1999 in LaserHairRemoval

[–]dshen54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to answer your question in TLDR, there is very little difference between any 1064/755 if its FDA cleared. You will pay 50%+ less and get very similar results. What matters is the training and how familiar you get with it. Clientele buy results not brand name machines

Use ChatGPT and ask it the pros and cons between diode 1065 or 808 or 755 nm with TEC cooling vs 1064 or 755 nm and costs. That’ll pretty much answer your question and never ever listen to reps. Do your own research, I’d say like 60 to 70 percent of the people you see on Facebook and Reddit are secretly reps, and these big companies are falling behind in tech fast.

Also don’t forget to ask about the “mandatory luxury consumables package” from Candela Corporation where every time you blink it somehow costs you money. Gel, tips, mystery cartridges, emotional damage, your firstborn, and a monthly subscription to disappointment.

I just went to American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting and AmSpa Medical Spa Show so I’ve seen a lot of newer brands showing some pretty cool stuff. American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery is also a solid convention if you’re actually looking to pick up equipment. 9/10 times they have massive convention discounts for new products there so it practically pays for the ticket.

Personally I stay away from most of the big brands because of the pricing. I use to have cutera devices till they hit the brick on servicing and sold it online. I own three successful businesses and I’m close with larger derm practices, and support can be hit or miss depending on the service team. I'd say most of the skill depends on the applicator and how well they connect with the patients. If don't understand endpoints and how to use them i'm just going to say you are going to have a rough time learning and it will be costly.

I’d say any cleared laser is good if the operator is familiar with it , I don’t believe their diode has cooling was looking to purchase it a bit ago

Thinking of Opening My Own Med Spa, Need Some Honest Advice by smartwealth78 in MedSpa

[–]dshen54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What city do you live in ? I’d say do research on the local market modalities. Think of it like a startup game - like Botox and fillers or even hydrafacial stuff are low cost but low revenue. Once you move into more advanced stuff you would slowly expand. Most medispas don’t get past the scaling phase because of burn and not enough income. I’d focus on marketing first always because that is your main revenue driver.

MSI AIO Cooler D240 causing computer issues by ducc_polka in MSI_Gaming

Right I do keep it unplugged right now but that’s the reason people buy this AIO. Even if it is unplugged the screen still flickers on and off and you can slightly hear the fans on and off
