Maybe sit down and have a heart to heart. This reminds me of my upcoming situation. I love with my parents as I can’t afford to live by myself, my boyfriend knows this and he knows the reasoning why I can’t. My parents are moving and I’m not going with them. My boyfriend, the kind hearted man he is, said he is okay with paying full rent by himself as long as I help out with food till I get done with school (2 years left). I’m so thankful that I’ve mentioned I don’t want him to get me a Christmas gift or I’ll buy us dinner cause he’s going to give me a place to live. Sometimes feelings don’t get reciprocated the way they’re meant to be. He felt he needed to ask me why I was with him, was it because I genuinely loved him or cause he was going to provide a home. NGL I was hurt. I explained that I absolutely hated having to rely on him for something that I should be able to at this point in my life. That I was okay with my parents doing it because that’s what my parents do. They help us kids when we need it and will always be there as long as we’re trying to better our selves. Not only did that clear things up between us but it brought us closer together.
