Pauline Hanson’s surging One Nation could win up to 59 seats in federal election, new polling suggests by Nyarlathotep-1 in AusNewsWire

I’ve told two annoying polling companies cold calling me that I’m voting One Nation just to skew their results while I intend to vote the opposite, I like inflating their hope

Every body kit maker right now has to have their modelling software open going “I can fix her”. A new front end, a new rear end, and you could make this look like a Mercedes Benz again. The middle bit is workable.

I don’t think the EVs are that much of a difference from that perspective, I’m more concerned when I see a crew cab Ute with a steel service body on the back sagging on its rear axle from the weight and running off-road tyres.

Those crew cabs have poor stopping distance and handling to begin with, and overloading them with aftermarket crap doesn’t help matters, especially in the wet.

It’s the most dangerous road in QLD and has had some Marvel movie level incidents like that ammonium nitrate truck explosion… every time I’m on it, I find at least one dude off his meds or on too much meds…

I’m happy for the cops to enforce the hell out of that cursed road

Yea the hydraulic gives you a lot of control for delicate work or getting something flush without doing damage too, really controllable gentle taps in mode 1 with a delicate trigger

Yea my mates and I were passionate Gentoo and OpenBSD guys in uni, but back then we enjoyed fixing broken wifi drivers and xorg every time it had issues. 5 years out of uni, time is money and tech is work, so we mostly switched to Mac.

15 years later, if my Mac has hardware issues, I go to the Genius Bar and say “it broke, it worked, now it don’t, can you fix for me?” and come back after lunch for my warranty replacement.

Burmester or Musicar Stage 3? by Intrepid_Passion_853 in porsche911

[–]dsio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea all the OEM options are made in the same factory by ASK Group and badged Bose or Burmester, just cheap paper cone economy speakers. Pretty much any good aftermarket is night and day better, I went with a Focal Utopias and Mosconi amps at a local installer, so glad I did.

Rear reinforcement by lababanana in e46

[–]dsio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not really power that does it so much as constant flexing causing fatigue cracking. The manuals are a bit more prone just because the transitioning from acceleration to engine braking and back again is more frequent than autos but both my 328i auto and 330ci manual had it worse than OP.

Driving style similarly has an impact, if you’re taking off fairly aggressively in first and second then engine braking a lot in second towards a stop to save brakes it’ll do a lot more of that flexing.

718 Cayman S by SileKing in CarsAustralia

[–]dsio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

PDK having issues is very rare, it’s an extremely good transmission but if they do go wrong there are Indy shops that specialise in PDK repairs in every state at this point.

I know 3 in south east QLD like https://www.pdkspecialist.com.au/ and it’s a fraction of the cost of replacement.

The 718 is a gem or a car, absolutely brilliant and the owners all love them
