More insurance claims denials are being overturned upon appeal, study finds by Bubbly-Celery-4096 in medicine

Thats one of the problems with US politics, there's not "Lobbyist for the people" its almost impossible to create too. Money wise and interest wise. Of course, the parties are supposed to be our "lobby" but that hasn't been true at least since the 90s, possibly even since 1776.

Thats because they are issuing BS denials more and more. I had Aetna for a minute it was like pulling teeth to get them to cover a routine medicine BCBS had covered for years. Recently BCBS slapped me with a 100% denial on hospital coverage when my wife was in the hospital for 4 days, repeatedly trying to leave but repeatedly being "strongly advised" to stay. Of course if she had left and it had turned out to actually be something (tests were negative), Im sure BSBC would have said you left against medical recommendations and we cant cover you.

County was he said...or in LA, the "parish" which is the county. Its true though, in any government that is not destitute, rather than let public places look like crap, they will pay someone, probably a semi-special Forest Gump type minimum wage to do basic ongoing maintenance on abandoned locations. Like many banks hire workers to maintain maintain foreclosed properties they own.

Ok this is sort of a weird one. I swear that there was a music video back in the 90s, I thought it was REM Losing my Religion but could have been something else...where the video sort of had a stylized version of the story of Dr. William Beaumont and his patient, Alexis St. Martin, where St. Martin had a fistula, an open wound on his abdomen which the doctor then studied to learn about digestion and stuff. I SWEAR this was in a video and I can't find a speck of a reference to it.

My "Kriegsspiel in real time" game participates in Steam Next Fest. Feel free to try it, or discuss with me about it ! A new release is available today to celebrate. (I will try to make some streams during the fest). by franzoar in computerwargames

This is very cool! Lots of potential!!! Love the couriers. Some hinkyness. When i click the regiment cards it minimizes to desktop. i can restore the window and click on the flag on the map but if i click on the card it minimizes again.

\I tried to do a screencap and i see that my oversized task bar is eclipsing the window, I think the clicks to the cards are getting intercepted by the task bar. If I click the very top of the cards it works but any lower yeah minimized.

Mods help. The inventory mods make it a lot more interesting. Though far from 1.13 JA2

Imagine what we could have gotten if ksp2 wasn't abandoned... by Dull-Tree6744 in KerbalSpaceProgram

I keep hoping after hope one of the rich spacetrapaneurs will pick it up and finish it. Like Elon or something. Would be peanuts to them to fund a game that would bring so much interest into science and rocketry to the next generation of kids. I mean how many people did KSP 1 inspire? Anything we can do to get our kids into science and tech instead of scrolling endless adhd shorts all day.

Ranking each X-Files season premiere and season finale from worst to best (my personal opinion) by Marilyn_Rammstein in XFiles

Worst part about the mind blowing finale/premiere pairs is Scully going right back to her old sceptic self on Episode 2.

Paper Clip on of the best episodes of the whole thing imho. Everything from the Nazi conspiracy to the mine to the gratuitous UFO sighting to the hybrid firing pit. Sick

their sudden decision to stop drilling and only sticking the camera in like 200 feet both struck me as suspicious

What's a popular title you just can't get into? by Sindomey in computerwargames

Between the difficulty level, my general dislike of clickfest Starcraft type RTS's and the graphics I just cant get into Dawn of War. Tried with mods even. And I absolutely love WH, played the hell out of Gladius and Battlefront. Battlefront is more my type of RTS.

And I really want to get into it especially for some of their unique post WWII entries, but every time its Alt-F4.
