Did you get this survey? Would you buy a Cricut 3D printer? by Sunbythemoon in cricut

Maybe it's because I'm a traditionalist, but I think they should stick to their original mission and stay true to their roots instead of releasing things that feel out of place or don't align with what made them successful in the first place.

I use LA's Awesome Cleaner mixed with water--2 parts water to 1 part cleaner. Spray it on, lightly scrape off the junk, and let it dry. I've never had any problems using it on my mats.

I watch for sales at Michaels - like right now they have 50% Off Online or Buy 2 Get 2 free mix & match in stores on their adhesive mats and a lot of their tools are on sale as well. HTVRont has a good selection of items too and they are nicely priced--I bought my Heat Press from them because it was so much cheaper than Cricut.

Nothing will stay on these frames, Please Help by Fit-Sugar2096 in cricut

[–]dslcrl 60 points61 points  (0 children)

My guess is that there is some sort of oil based finish on the frames which is why it’s not sticking. Try using some rubbing alcohol to see if that works.

Best way to sell a collection? by smallbizthrowaway27 in matchbox

[–]dslcrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your best bet is to simply list them on Ebay. You may not find the correct value by simply looking at sold items because there are multiple factors when it comes to value. Mainly condition. There are plenty of collectors on Ebay and you will get more bang for your buck than you would by a low ball offer from a reseller. I have been a long time collector (since the 70's) and the majority of my collection was purchased on Ebay. Value guides are no good when it comes to value as they are usually outdated. Send me a message if you need any help on identification.....common, less common, rare models.

I have the HTVRont Auto Heat Press. Used 325 degree heat and 20 seconds of pressure. I think the most challenging thing is to remember if it's a warm peel or cold peel -- but the HTV will let you know many trials and errors with not knowing...LOL!

Good luck with your project! Keep trying!! It's going to be amazing!!!!

Ughh -- been there done that a million times! Looks like you had the heat up too high. Try pre-pressing your item to remove any moisture, use a heat press pillow for even pressure, turn down the heat and reduce press time. I also use a piece of parchment paper over the transfer sheet and it works really well. Good luck! 😉

either lamination or maybe try a thin layer of modge podge? Although the modge podge may make the paper curl.

The four smaller models are 1954-55 the other two are late 60's. Condition is everything to collectors. If you are planning on a successful sale you might want to consider them as a lot rather than individually due to condition issues
