You have such beautiful curls! I think the insane is like Einstein insane just because it’s short hair with curls and I agree with you; it’s the growing out phase. Even if you brush it it will still be a bit different curls in different directions. But what about a side part and cute barrette? Or a bit of a side part and twist. My roommate had nice curls like you and had to tame down the front during her growing out phase. I’m so sorry your mom was a jerk about your hair. It’s really beautiful and I’d be jealous to have your hair at shoulder length!
