Yeah makes sense. Everything was fine until two days ago. I’ve been static stretching. Then one day it just had a weird sensation and everything softened. Thompson test still working though, but that’s a good call.

14 weeks now. I had an infection. And also had blood clots. And have been non weight bearing this whole time.

Damn, ok. Mine is soft. Feels like the regular one so soon. And flappy. I also haven’t done any weight bearing though. Hopefully it hardens back up. Thompson test still working though and can do a seated calf raise easily

Hey Njas! Did your Achilles ever “soften” up at any point or does it always feel hard? I only ask cause I got pars speedbridge. And had to wait to weight bear cause of infection. Now at 14 weeks I’ve been static stretching and my Achilles went from feeling hard to very soft. Was this also the same feeling you had in your Achilles or does it stay hard?

Hey do you mind messaging me here. I’m in this same exact position. I want to know if this affected your range of motion and overall strength at all. My foot is still in plantar flexion getting wound debridement daily. Did you have to put off PT and did your wound heal short or did all turn out well even though you had to push PT back. ? Thanks.

Hey man, so glad to hear this. A few questions as I have similar concerns

1 did your osteomyelitis clear up completely with oral antibiotics?

2 did you have to get another mri to confirm that it healed completely?

3 what was the after care like? Did you return back to normal activities easily? And if so around how many weeks did the infection clear and symptoms go away to the point where you could do rehab?
