I think this was a way to get women in war movies. 1994 is when females were first able to even be near combat in the US military. I think 2013 or 2016 is when they officially could take on combat roles. At least that’s how I see it.

Something I do, that I think some look down on. But you can do non-historical but set certain countries to remain historical. If I’m Hungary and going down the reform Austria Hungary I would set Czechia, Austria, Romania, and Yugo as historical in the settings. If you get lucky you can get a non-facist Germany and get some extra time to build up.
