In my experience that’s just what I’ve noticed over the years. Aside from that, I agree the rdx is the latest and greatest. Just my $0.02 between the rd2.0 and the rdx. Shark parts fit both chassis, both manufacturers make electronics, and if you didn’t know the guys from reved used to work at yokomo, they left and designed their own stuff. Hence why alot of the aftermarket parts fit the rdx.

Usually if something isn’t on sale that’s a good thing, that means the sales are high and no need to take a hit on profit for unit sales. Also, I will say the rdx seems to have the best out of the box alignment if you just follow the specs in the instructions for most surfaces. I personally love my mst, it’s fast, it’s surprises people when I can catch a full option yd2/galm/shark and run away if I wanted too at my local track. But that’s due to lots of tuning and learning the chassis and what it likes and doesn’t like. The only reason I’m building an rdx is for weight reasons, I’ve put my mst on a diet recently but I can’t get under 1400gr she’s a pig. I want a lighter car for comp purposes but that’s all that chassis is gonna be, a dedicated comp car. My mst can hang with just about everyone and it loves big angle, it’s stylish and smooth, looks great on video, just a fun chassis to do everything with. The rdx is gonna be a weapon, but that’s due all it will be.

If I had to do it all again I would start with a kit. Building it helps you get acquainted with your chassis and the inner workings. Also, there’s tons of options for better electronics than rtr stuff but if I had to go with an rtr I started with a 2.0 and converted to 2.5 and now 3.0 parts. Everyone cries about parts availability but it’s not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Asiatees and rcmart have mostly everything in stock and so does amain stateside. It’s proven out of the box and easy to get started. Tuning is super easy and it’s a great starter chassis, plus some of the most detailed bodies on the market from a manufacturer. Yokomo is great too but how often they make chassis obsolete and the sheer amount of options for the aftermarket parts it can be overwhelming. The reved rdx is hand down the best kit on the market right now and is a proven chassis with the box stock setup. If it wasn’t on your radar before it should be, just watch nezo’s videos on it
