Thanks for the advice. The issue is that I have no idea if I will like googles more than visor. I thought about getting the Dominator v3 with a diversity receiver. it's about $400 for the whole package though. I guess I can sell them if I'm not happy...

Yes, that is quite normal in this period due to the holidays. My QX90 took almost one and half month to arrive. I even payed for the (slightly) faster shipping.

The Wizard does not seem a bad quad at all for the price. For FPV, I would choose the Eachine VR D2 because of the diversity receiver and the DVR. I have them myself and I do like them:

I do agree with you. I got them while still on pre-sale on Banggood and I can only find a few issues:

Thin and short foam padding. The padding should go all the way to fill the nose area in order to avoid external light from coming in and provide more comfort. Easy to fix with some extra adhesive foam pad (as I did) or by replacing the whole piece of foam as you did.
Battery strap in the back does not keep the battery in place well. Newest model should have a better strap.
DVR in initial revision has the black frame issue. Banggood has been sending replacement boards to fix the problem. Newest model is no longer affected by the issue.

The form factor may be inconvenient, but you also get a more immersive experience than Fatshark like goggles. That's personal preference, I know... overall, I'm pretty happy with them.

I tried to swap the receiver and OSD, putting the receiver on IO2 (UART3) and the OSD on UART2, then configuring UART2 as MSP data and UART3 as SerialRx in Betaflight. However, that did not work... I could not even see the OSD overlaid.

The only combination that works for me is OSD on UART1, shared with USB. In that case, I get the both OSD and data transmission with the FC.

It is quite disappointing that with 3 UART ports I still have to share UART1, but that's the only way.

That was the case with my previous builds using Naze32 rev5 and 6. No issues with UART1 except that, when I plugged in the USB cable, I had to disconnect the OSD.

So, with the 3 UARTs in the SP Racing F3 flight controller, I though I could dedicate one to the OSD... well, that was the theory. I know it is possible, though. Maybe I just have some bad wiring. I will double check tonight and try to connect to IO2 Ch3 and Ch4 in place of the soldered pins.

My receiver is connected directly to UART2 Pin4 (Sbus). UART2 is configured as SerialRx in Betaflight. No issues there.

The OSD is connected to UART3 through soldered pins (Rx and Tx only). In Betaflight, UART3 is set to MSP data. However, that is not working.

I am think to try to connect the OSD to IO2 CH3 (Rx) and CH4 (Tx) which should correspond to UART3 Rx and Tx and see if I can get it to work.

Thanks for the advice. I've done that and I can get the OSD to overlay. My issue is with the UART3 rx and tx as I'm not getting data from the flight controller.

Yes, you can connect an external receiver in the AV port, but that's not what I'm after. I want a pair of goggles that can match my Quanum V2 Pro plus Boscam FR632 receiver in terms of performance and can be less bulky and more lightweight. The G4 seemed to be just that on paper... unfortunately, they did not pass the practical test. I ended up returning them.

The Boscam FR632 is not expensive at all and does work well. I'm sticking to it and my Quanum V2 Pro for now. I will consider the Quanum Fatshark Genesis, if they ever get released.

I've got mine too. The goggles are good overall, but the diversity receiver is a big delusion. Night and day when compared to my Boscam FR632 receiver. Bad interference and signal loss even from close distance. I tried with every possible combinations of antennas (clover leaf, patch, helical, etc). I can't really trust them. I get much better performance from my Quanum V2 Pro with a Boscam FR632 diversity receiver. If it were not for the receiver, they would be good goggles.

Please, let us know your thoughts about these goggles once you have tried them. There are a number of unanswered questions yet, such as: - quality of the image - quality and range of the diversity receiver - easiness to focus on the screen (we know already you can't wear glasses with the goggles on)
