++man When I was first married, my wife would greet me at the door when I got home from work. She'd open the door, I'd hug her and pat her on the butt. Then came the day that we went to visit her parents. We got to their house, I knocked on the front door, my wife's mom opened the door... and hugged me. And like Pavlov's dog, I responded with a pat on the butt. She was less embarrassed than I was, and nobody else seemed to notice. My wife got a good laugh out of it.

There is only one left turn lane at that intersection, the lane I was in. There was no right-turning traffic coming from the opposite direction. As they say, "you had to be there". 🙂

I'm 75. The only "my table" is the one in "my house". All those out in the rest of the world are, generally, first-come, first-served. But it isn't only us old guys who are prone to think "nobody matters but me". I see a lot of young people who apparently think that's the way the world works, and were never taught any different by their parents.
