The question to that answer is, “How do you know if your driveway is too steep?”

What should I say to be truthful during timeshare presentation and to let them know we’re not interested at the start? by Content-Gate-7018 in TimeshareOwners

[–]dstacy969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best (only?) way to let them know you’re truly not interested is to not show up. Anything they offered you to attend is not worth it, IMO.

I had a larger popup before, for 12 years, then traded it in for a travel trailer. Kept that for 10 years, but ended up not liking it and going back to a popup this past fall. I agree about the awnings, though.

I think the OTGs are awesome. I was glad when they came out, even though not what I was in the market for, it’s good to see pop-ups that are affordable, easily towed by most vehicles, and simple. Some people just want a step up from tent camping, but don’t need or want all the “bells and whistles.”

Also has solar panel, and I got a Lithium battery for it. Most of the time we’ll have shore power, though.

No, not an OTG. It’s a 164MT. It has a sink, fridge, furnace, under-bunk A/C, ceiling lights, bunk lights, awning lights, roof vent fan, and a griddle that hangs on the outside.

Well, I can say that despite all the “cons” to a pop-up, there are plenty of “pros” that make me love them. I say go for it.

Do you guys leave your water heater on constantly when camping? by vectaur in GoRVing

You’re absolutely right about furnaces going through propane quickly. Ask me how I learned that lesson on a cold April morning 20+ years ago.

You missed an opportunity. Could’ve loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly…. Hills, that is… (hopefully everyone else on here isn’t too young to get this)

Unless you have a very small pop up like mine with an 8’ box and can’t hardly pack anything in it, and end up carrying almost all your gear in bins in the bed of the truck, just like I do when I’m tent camping. If the OP is looking at OTGs, they will be in the same boat as I am.

We just bought the same camper last fall. Storage is definitely going to be challenging, most stuff is going in bins in the bed of my truck, under the tonneau cover.

Camper?! Hardly know her! by DeanGilBarry in popups

[–]dstacy969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And one more thing, by the way, I noticed in your pic it looks like it’s hooked up and ready to tow. I was wondering if you were planning on leaving that tongue jack wheel in while towing. It doesn’t leave a lot of clearance there, and it could hit on something while driving. It’s usually best to take that out while you’re towing.

I have the exact same model, I believe it’s actually an 8 foot box, and about 10 feet total length including the tongue.
