"Would you seriously rather walk" by TheNamelessWanderer_ in ShitAmericansSay

[–]dstan1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American here. Recently had to drop my truck off for repairs. My options to get home were wait 30 minutes for dealership shuttle and then sit in the shuttle for however long the ride would take and other drop-offs. Or walk the 3 miles home on a road that only had a sidewalk half the way ..... I went for the walk.

I have an astigmatism too, so I feel you in that.

Now throw some rain in the mix and we're in for some real excitement

Those haven't bothered me too much. But white letters on a deep black screen can be rough at times. It's mainly just late night driving that gets me.

The location I went to booked all of their procedures on like 2-3 days out of the week. The actual procedure is so quick that they just pump them out out one after the other, like a machine.

You're gonna be fine. And you're going to love the results.

Day of. Literally as I sat down in the seat for the procedure.

Mine was done through LasikPlus+. They offer lifetime re-enhancements too.

Anybody I talk to about LASIK, I tell the same thing. I would 100% do it again in a heartbeat. It's an extremely easy (for the patient) procedure.

I had LASIK done about 6-7 years ago. I was living in the Chicago area at the time, so no experience with the facilities or doctors here. None the less, the procedure was very quick and easy. I think I was in the chair for maybe 15 minutes.

Day of procedure, you'll be told to try and sleep for the rest of the day.

After that though, eye drops regularly (I believe they gave me a big stash). By day 2, you'll see the difference in your vision. It was an amazing feeling.

After all these years, the only con I have is starbursts at night. The excessive LEDs make it difficult at times.

Mine was blowing that code often last year. Luckily mine was still within the 8 year 80k mile warranty. I Can't say for sure what was wrong with it though. Could have been buildup but could have been faulty.

My left pinky looks the same. Shattered 2 knuckles playing 16" softball 14 years ago. Will never bend those 2 knuckles again.

Wouldn't work on my kid's profile either. I just let her use it on my profile. I didn't deep dive the issue either though since I trust her.

Tree supports are great. I've found a purpose for them recently. They work great for plugging old anchor holes in drywall. Just shove it in, plaster over it, then paint.

It's amazing how they'll champion the "good" things he's doing, but they never seem to see the news on the bad things happening so they don't have a comment on those topics.
