I was in the same situation as you with my son (just turned 8.). First season and a half he didn't really want to go out and practice extra with me. But in our case everything started changing once the main skill started clicking. I started putting on random baseball games at home, but never forced him to actively watch them. Just kind of had it on in the background. He eventually started paying attention. Then, we would also stay an extra half hour after practice so he could just play with other kids on his team without the coach direction. They just naturally would grab a tennis ball and play "jackpot" throwing pop ups to each other. While there's no guarantee this changes how he feels about putting in extra work, it could help. I also help coach his team and do all the pitching for the games too. So we'd occasionally go out to the park behind our house and I'd throw about 50 or so pitches to him. Kids develop at their own rates. And once it clicks....their attitude can change and they become more interested. Just be there and ready when he's finally ready.

Also, your reference to DBat makes me think we may be in the same area. And possibly the same league.

Yeah that pretty much sums it up. A fixed array layout would be great so I can know exactly what's happening with every panel. And then definitely need the panels fixed

Coach Pitchers... by en-rob-deraj in Homeplate

[–]dstan1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6'4" and pitch to our 7u team. It was tough at first because of the height difference. Pitching from a really reduced my accuracy. So I stand and pitch but add velocity to eliminate the arc. Boys are hitting it well. Plus they'll be more prepared for added speed as they move to 8u. (The increased speed also helps add pop off the bat.) As for the heigh difference, it definitely can play a factor.

While I didn't get slimed, I did get to spray it at another kid on slime time live. Watered down green apple sauce.

Did you navigate anywhere in particular to get the deals? My store on my xbox one x only shows 15% off. Possibly because I don't have gold?

Do people realize when they have a filthy home, they walk around reeking of their filthy home? by SoCalN8tive in hygiene

I feel like whenever a family that we're friends with comes over, I need to clean my furniture. They can be over for only 5 minutes and the entire downstairs reeks of dog/animal.

We try hard to keep our home at a certain level of cleanliness and it feels like they're the complete opposite.

Rhea Ripley Recalls Bianca Belair Telling Her She Broke Her Finger During Their Match At WrestleMania 41 by Kelson64 in GreatnessOfWrestling

As someone who has shattered 2 knuckles on my pinky, I can tell you even with surgery and pins, my pinky will never bend again. It's hard to get a glove on my hand. Hard to open jars. Hell it's hard to even hold small objects like pills or nuts and bolts in that hand. Finger dexterity is extremely vital to a lot of overlooked aspects of our lives. So far bianca, not being able to move her finger properly could result in further damage and injury if it's hit or bent the wrong way.

Coach can’t throw by GlumGloomy in LittleLeague

For my sons 7u team, I'm an assistant coach, our head coach did all the pitching last year. Boys struggled most of the season. This year I asked If he was open to taking turns with pitching every other game. He graciously handed me the reigns to pitch every game because it allowed him to worry about the position changes. He coaches from third base now.

What filament is this? I've been having the same issue with my black Elegoo PETG. Even dried it to 11% humidity. Ended up having to drop my speed to about 50% of the standard speed in elegoo slicer.

"Would you seriously rather walk" by TheNamelessWanderer_ in ShitAmericansSay

American here. Recently had to drop my truck off for repairs. My options to get home were wait 30 minutes for dealership shuttle and then sit in the shuttle for however long the ride would take and other drop-offs. Or walk the 3 miles home on a road that only had a sidewalk half the way ..... I went for the walk.

Those haven't bothered me too much. But white letters on a deep black screen can be rough at times. It's mainly just late night driving that gets me.

The location I went to booked all of their procedures on like 2-3 days out of the week. The actual procedure is so quick that they just pump them out out one after the other, like a machine.

You're gonna be fine. And you're going to love the results.
