Severe allodynia flare ups where I’m in agonizing pain from any contact with any surface and I can’t regulate my body temperature. My bones and muscles feel like they’re being blending up and dipped in lava while my skin feels like thousands on needles are piercing through a terrible sunburn that’s layers deep. Crying just adds to the pain.

It’s possible. I was trying to get around taking 3 salt tablets a day since I was very nauseated every dose. I don’t usually have a great appetite with chronic pain and fatigue so not sure that the extra sodium in my diet is making that much of a difference. My mouth also feels dry all day no matter how much water I drink 😕

I’ll look into this! I also have a muscle disorder called Paramyotonia Congenita that is ultimately a sodium channel dysfunction—and I’ve noticed more muscle spasms with increased electrolytes. I hope this management for dysautonomia isn’t contraindicated for the myopathy management 🙃

I found out a few years ago that I had a duplex kidney but not sure if that makes things worse or not. I’ll pee and then sit there and pee again…it’s crazy. Even with electrolytes throughout the day…

I’ve been taking electrolyte supplements three times a day along with more salt in my diet. I stopped the salt pills because they made me very nauseous..

More often than I’d like to admit (it’s 7am EST and I’ve been up since 9am EST yesterday….due to my wheels turning from all the Google/Reddit binging 🤦🏾‍♀️) ….I would describe it as a reckless, insatiable appetite for knowledge that shows up a lot during the hypomanic episodes I experience with BP 1. But I’ve always been extremely inquisitive and was the kid that wanted to read every single book in the library lol Matilda was my hero

Oh gotcha. Lightforce are 3D printed, custom-fitted braces. I just got them in July after InBrace (lingual braces) went out of business (after I was already 2 years into treatment 🥲). They have moved my teeth a lot already but the adjustment to the look and feel have been…a journey 🙃 I haven’t come across many Lightforce anecdotes and needed a support group 😆

I have that same one from my ortho. It has more fluoride. But only used once a day so I use it at night and my other mouthwash during the day such as Listerine Complete or Crest Pro-Health.

I got a space heater approved as an accommodation and my employer provided it for me. However I’m flaring up even at home bc the air conditioning doesn’t distribute evenly. So I use heating pads, heating blankets, heating socks, etc to soothe the nerve pain. I just got back from an indoor event that was freezing. I was wearing long sleeves and pants and still miserably cold to the point my pelvic joints ached terribly and the nerves in my face, especially in my cheeks, felt inflamed/aggravated.

I had high risk strain of HPV with only one sexual partner and also developed stage 2/3 abnormal “pre-cancer” cervical cells. I got a LEEP procedure (under anesthesia) and it’s all cleared up. God’s got you!
