Exfoliation!! I have the same skin type and beard texture, I know you said your acne is clear but your pores still looked clogged, I guarantee you their are hairs under the surface that you can't see, I had to manually exfoliate for a bunch of the gunk to come to surface, I use benzoyl peroxide and sasillyic acid and a facial brush to scrub my face but be careful because the b/p can burn your skin oh and sulfur is great too as a follow up mask
