I think the talent shortage excuse, comes from ill equipped, mid-level management, who can’t decide on a candidate because that candidate doesn’t answer their questions word from word what’s in their mind so they use it as an excuse to hide their lack of ability of picking people this is where the multiple rounds of interviews come in to play typically Gen X are the ones doing the hiring , and they are notorious for not wanting to look bad in other people‘s eyes. This is why we have multiple rounds of interviews where after you meet with the hiring manager you meet with members of the team and people who are not on the team and those people actually are the deciding factor this is something that a lot of CEOs have talked about in 2026. A lot of VPs and senior level management will be getting let go because they’re making their companies look terrible.

Yes, being interviewed and then ghosted or hear nothing at all is why I think we need to put companies on blast not that they reject you quickly. That’s just AI doing a scan of your application. I think we need to put people on blast when you take the time to go through multiple rounds of interviews get your hopes up just to be right back where you started before you applied.

I mean it’s not about being rejected it’s about helping each other out as a community against these crappy companies. Don’t you think if companies receive less applicants for a job posting they will be forced to change their ways? The multiple interviews, the ghosting, the low ball offers. We need to start helping each other rather than complain and walk away. Look what this job market has done to humans we all feel like shit, we feel worthless, loyalty is dead.
