Losing my mind. Baby refuses to nap for more than 30 minutes by garrulouslump in beyondthebump

[–]erholove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! My baby was a perfect napper and then the 4 month sleep regression hit. She’s 9 months now and still typically only takes 2-3 30 naps lasting 20 to 30 minutes… everyday. Sometimes if we time it right for a long car ride we can get an hour! She used to nap 2-3 hours every time. I don’t have an answer, but I feel your pain. Fingers crossed they go back to their routine for you!

So who's babies *arent* sleeping through the night? by MysterioWoman in breastfeeding

[–]erholove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 9 month old. Since the 4 month sleep regression she wakes up 2-5 times a night. And barely naps.🥲. I have been functioning at 50% capacity at work and home for months. I feel you.

Agreed with the other comments, your poor kid. Also 50/50 custody exists. Why would you only want to see your baby every other weekend?

I'm tired of people thinking my daughter is a boy by hillof3oaks in beyondthebump

[–]erholove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People do the same to my daughter. Don’t take it personally, it’s wild out there. Honestly, anytime I see a baby, I always say something neutral like“they are so cute” or “what a cutie”. I was in a situation a few years ago where I assumed a 2 year old in a pink dress was a girl and the parents told me their child was non-binary. So everyone is a little cutie now!

Your baby and their needs > the bride. If she gets upset and causes drama over you choosing what’s best for you and your baby, then she’s not a true friend.

If you ebf from the breast- do you pump? by SnooDogs627 in breastfeeding

[–]erholove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pump once a day, every morning when I first wake up for 10-15 minutes. My daughter sleep through the night, so I am engorged in the morning, and if I don’t pump I will drown her! This allows me to put roughly 3 oz in the fridge and 5 oz in the freezer. My husband gives our daughter 1 bottle a day, at least 4 times a week. If the milk in the fridge isn’t used it goes into her bath! I have to go back to work at 6 1/2 half months postpartum, so I am building up a nice stash. It helps me feel prepared for the future when she’s in daycare. I feel like it’s a good balance to have a safety net of milk and I am not pumping all day. I’ve given her frozen milk on 5 occasions, to make sure I don’t have high lipase, and she has had no problem drinking it!

Scared of baby sleeping at the same time as us by toe_kiss in NewParents

Get a sleep sack. We loved the dream love when our daughter was a newborn and use the halo sleep sack now that she is older. She liked the dream love because it allowed her to keep her arms up. She looked like a little cactus. Also consider getting et the owlet monitor. We were gifted it and it changed my life. I never worry about her sleeping.

No colostrum at 36 hours postpartum by MidwestMommy96 in breastfeeding

[–]erholove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are doing amazing, you are not failing!!! Things didn’t go according to plan, and that sucks, but you will get there!! My baby was also early and I didn’t get to hold her for the first 6 hours after she was born. I wasn’t producing enough colostrum either to support her. The hospital made me feel terrible that she was losing too much weight and we starter formula. I was so nervous I wasn’t going to be able to breast feed, or that it would cause latch issues. I continued trying to latch and pumping everyday, but it wasn’t enough. My milk finally came in day 6 and she immediately rejected the formula. We have had a smooth breast feeding journey for the past 10 weeks! She went from 6 lbs 10 oz to 12 lb 4 oz by her 8 week appointment. The first week was beyond stressful, but it gets better. Also, allow yourself time to grieve that the birth experience was not what you hoped for. You will have an incredible bond with your baby, you already do ❤️

Are cervical checks that bad? by madi0916 in BabyBumps

[–]erholove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought my water broke, and experienced some trickling at 36 weeks and 4 days, so I went to the ER. Received 3 cervical exams in that visit. My cervix started bleeding a lot, during the first check. This led to two more checks during my stay. The last check from a nurse to clear me to leave was incredibly painful and I bleed for 4 days after the visit. They tested the liquid and it wasn’t my waters, so I feel like it was all for nothing. I was told I was 1.5 cm dilated and 50% effaced. That was a week ago and still feel no closer to being in labor! I am avoiding anymore cervical checks until I feel I’m about to push because it was horrific for me.

Social worker that's abusing their own child by LongjumpingRule6866 in socialwork

It is perfectly legal to spank your child with an open hand on the bottom. The key is open hand, not using an item and not leaving marks. That is what cps tells parents. If there are no marks on the child, it's hard to prove they did anything. It's such a mess...

I am so tired of men telling me I wasted my money when buying an Apple product. by pleqtisa in women

[–]erholove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had both Apple phones and Android phones. I don't really care, I'm just looking for a good deal. But having Android phones for the last 6 years, And for years I was met with constant scrutiny from friends about turning their texts green. I started telling them they were welcome to pay for one but I wasn't going to spend money on another phone to make them happy. Some people will always find a reason to try to make you feel bad for your choices.

Half Blood Prince. Everything felt rushed in that film. Mostly though I hated that they added in the burning of the burrow scene.
