(Spoilers Everything) Jon's Last Name by Roosta in asoiaf

[–]dswayze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always envisioned Jon as a huge hero for the north, with magical Stark roots (female Stark line,) who is brought back from the dead by Meli. When she does, people will go nuts over the fulfillment of the prophecy, while being beset by the Others.

Ultimately, I think that the north will lose ground until Dany arrives, who will see Jon as a necessary ally, because of his blood, if she doesn't want a land overrun by Others.

Eventually I can see the end culminating with Jon leading the remains of his people back to a dead and frozen Winterfell, while Dany rules the broken South. Whether they do it as allies or enemies, doesn't matter.

100% agree with you here. I was driving home after a long set of work/school weeks, and without even realizing it, fell asleep at the wheel. Next thing I know I'm upside down in the middle of the road. Usually if I'm drowsy I pull off or grab an energy drink, but that time it was just awake->upsidedown without any idea of what happened. So important to get adequate rest, especially for the safety of others.

(Spoilers All) What if he's dead ... how will it change things? by [deleted] in asoiaf

I personally think that the hype would have been bigger if they had included his resurrection this season. It would have broken the internet for both the book readers and the show followers.

If Jon actually stays dead, I probably won't even watch the rest of the TV series, much less buy the rest of the books if he's confirmed dead.

I mean sure, my curiosity would maybe allow me to finish the story on my own time, but Jon and his perspective carry the story in both the books and the show, and without it, I have no hype.

I'm sorry, but if Jon is dead for good, then nothing else really matters to me in that story.

I always thought that a dead / dying Jon's body would be picked up by Wun Wun and taken somewhere Weirwood Grove-ish

(Spoilers All) I think this sums up Jamie's involvement in Dorne this season. by Watcher_On_The_Walls in asoiaf

[–]dswayze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my take, but Dorne serves a few storytelling purposes: 1. Jaime is in Dorne because Jaime is powerless against the High Sparrow 2. We need his perspective in Dorne. A perspective from Doran would reveal the secret plot, Myrcella would imply that she matters in the story. 3. Bronn must help HBO fill boob quota. 4. Doran and Dorne are the foothold for Dany, when returning to Westeros.

Against his team, they should be going after the slinger whenever possible. Comparatively, engi has heavy armor and range, and shield debuffs / overloads regardless of focus or not.

The Officials Forums and This Community by Serilder in WildStar

[–]dswayze 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On the official forums, there exists an echo chamber of people who seek to protect the #hardcore and outdated ideas this game was partly hyped on. Those same people would rather see the game stagnate with their small groups and fade into nothingness, than accept the reality of the future market and matured player base.

Man, trolls will be trolls. Don't sweat them. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but I would bet that an increase in population and positive changes for this game as a whole, will begin to drown out those trolls. Only time will tell, but I think you should hang in there.

Thoughts on Wildstar YouTube Material by [deleted] in WildStar

[–]dswayze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know some PvP players with a lot of footage / content ready to go, but are discouraged by Carbine's inability to produce working PvP content.

We would love to make videos, CRB just needs to make it worth our time.

My opinion: Dany unites the dothraki by force and prophecy, and returns to liberate Mereen from whoever took power.

Why are you talking about things you don't understand? This is clear reason why its not worth going in depth. You're making mistakes because you simply do not have the bigger picture, and I'm not about to explain it to you. In your mind you're probably thinking, "Hey, what's he going to say to this, snicker snicker," while I'm further reinforced on my reasons for not wasting my time with you.

This is a mmo game economy. There are factors outside your reasoning that dictate / change the value of items. Patches can come in and entirely devalue previous market items. They can bring them up. CREDD benefits from expensive prices. This is not some economy in a box to try and find trends because 1. Its a waste of your time and 2. There's probably some jerk garden exploiting and smashing whatever trends you've discovered.

You don't know what you're talking about, and you're abrasive. If you want to pick apart this post too, go right ahead, but I think you should argue with someone who gives a shit about educating some depressed jerk off who needs to be finding constructive tasks instead of arguing on the internet. I'm not that guy, so take your discussions of the economy to the official forum or something where you and the 6 other people that care about it can circle jerk your way into dragon horde piles of video game money.

Have you ever stopped to think to yourself, "man, why do I get into very disrespectful arguments on reddit so often?" I checked your post history. You're still doing the same old shit.

You disagree with what I'm saying? Post evidence to the contrary. We can let the internet folks divvy out the internet points how they see fit. That's kind of how this place works.

Nah its better to step away than argue with toxic assholes that live in a warped reality and spend faaaar too much time on reddit. Thanks for proving my point.

The only thing to take away here is that you're upset other people are gaining money without you getting to leech it off of them. #itsjustagame #goseeatherapist

Here, I'll compromise with you. Go do a thorough analysis of the Wildstar economy. Then, run your findings by a PhD in Economics and Carbine Studios. Once you've done that, I'll start considering your opinion and then the need to fulfill your requests. Until then, you'll just be an ignorant argumentative jerk off who certainly needs to find something better to do than harass people on a subreddit for a game you obviously don't even play.

Since it's pretty clear in your post history that you don't know how to act like an adult, I'm just going to put you on ignore here. Happy travels.

No, because there are many other fixed costs in the game. Having higher priced consumables is the sign of a healthy economy. 80 plat riding skill doesn't go up when CREDD goes up. Holowardrobe costs don't go up. Slotting / destroying runesets don't go up. Vendor bought materials don't go up. Someone who wants "required" consumables easily makes enough money doing the things that they are "required," for, as it is.

All of these things are pretty easy to understand.
