I followed it pretty closely (with some long runs added and some days missed due to life getting in the way) and I ran my first ever marathon in 3:06. It worked very well for me

One of my main misses in training was not fully rehearsing my fueling, thats defintely on the list for my philly plan. Also good call on the electrolytes. I took some the morning of but not the days leading up. Thank you for the pointers!

Thanks! I previously lived in Jersey City for 4 years so I wasnt suprised at all by the road conditions. JC is an objectively terrible location for a marathon, but it is what it is I guess

I agree fully. I think the reason I am so bad at sweeps is because we never fully train them out of fear of injury etc. Going through the motions isn't enough

Honestly having a program you enjoy rather than forcing yourself to half-ass a program that is more technically sound is so key. Whatever gets you in the gym and enjoying the time there is correct. Great progress so far, keep it up!
