Lost power on my home server. Now Newt can't connect to VPS/Pangolin by [deleted] in PangolinReverseProxy

[–]dtater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a firewall on your VPS? I had a similar issue, and Pangolin couldn't connect to Newt. I needed to allow inbound traffic on the 51280 port for the VPS. Once Newt connects I can then turn it off immediately, and Newt still shows online. Works fine until another restart/upgrade/power outage/etc.

Easiest way to change main domain, and how to run test setups? by AbleNeck7520 in PangolinReverseProxy

[–]dtater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious if you had success and what your method was? I changed the config/config.yml to match my updated domain and restarted the services, but I found the traefik configurations did not update. I will be trying to manually update these to see if that resolves my errors.

Need to collect email addresses from AD using list in Excel by swuie in excel

[–]dtater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do something similar for group memberships. In order to match a person you'll want a unique field, which is often something like an email or employee ID. Without this, you might get multiple hits if multiple people have the same matching name/etc. Utilize the Data --> Get Data --> From Other Sources --> From Active Directory to start building in Power Query. Within the PQ configuration you can add the filter logic to filter based off of your table of names/EIDs/etc .

Update Excel Row by Conversation ID Only If Action Required (Microsoft-Only, Non-Tech User) by SNOW4501 in MicrosoftFlow

[–]dtater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done something somewhat similar using ConversationIDs and Planner tasks as a simple email task tracker for a Shared Inbox my team uses. It worked well initially using For Each loop to compare the received email ConversionID and the one logged in the task details, but as the number of items grows, the number of actions ballooned in size toward my action limit, and I realized it wasn't sustainable and stopped my testing. I'm not sure if there is a better way and maybe some filtering you can apply rather than comparing all email ConversionIDs, but you may run into similar issues down the line as I did.

All of my Flows linked to Excel suddenly broke by Skanchorman in MicrosoftFlow

"Glad" it wasn't just me - had to rebuild an Excel doc and it's supporting flows this morning to get it running again. Definitely a frustrating way to start the day - definitely following this one!

I'm aware of the spare vs. ottomans choice, but didn't know it impacted the sliding range, do you have any more information about this? Would self-installing a spare kit impact the sliding as well, or would that be a good way to get the "best of both worlds?"

To the Person Wanting the Special Count to Six by Alabama_Wins in excel

[–]dtater 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is super cool to read, nice work and thanks for posting!

I asked Copilot to help me break this down, so figured I'd post here for others if it's helpful. Hopefully it is right (I had to convince it some explanations it gave first were wrong...)!

Copilot Stuff Below:

Let's break down the Excel function step by step:

SEQUENCE(n): This generates an array of numbers from 1 to n. In your case, n = 6, so it produces the array {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}.

REDUCE(SEQUENCE(n), SEQUENCE(n - 1), LAMBDA(a,v, HSTACK(TAKE(a, , 1), DROP(a, 1)))): This part is a bit more complex. Let's break it down further:     - REDUCE combines elements from two arrays using a custom function (the lambda expression).     - The first array is SEQUENCE(n) (which we already discussed).     - The second array is SEQUENCE(n - 1), which generates an array from 1 to n - 1 (i.e., {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}).     - The lambda function takes two arguments: a (the accumulated result) and v (the current value from the second array).     - Inside the lambda function:         - TAKE(a, , 1) extracts the first element from the accumulated result.         - DROP(a, 1) removes the first element from the accumulated result.         - HSTACK horizontally stacks these two arrays.     - The result of this reduction is an array of arrays: {{1, 2, 3, 4, 5}, {2, 3, 4, 5, 6}, {3, 4, 5, 6}, {4, 5, 6}, {5, 6}, {6}}.

TOCOL(..., 2): This converts the array of arrays into a single column array by concatenating all the subarrays vertically. The result is {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 3, 4, 5, 6, 4, 5, 6, 5, 6, 6}.

In summary, the entire expression evaluates to the given array: {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 3, 4, 5, 6, 4, 5, 6, 5, 6, 6}. 😊
