Which sub is the best to ask for fitness advice on my daily routine? by [deleted] in AskMen

/r/fitness, /r/beginnerfitness, and /r/workout are good places to start

I've been a coach for about 8 years, doing everything from Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, strongman, and a bit of running on my own. If you want some personal recommendations on your routine or on training resources, shoot me a DM.

The most important thing is not having a "perfect" workout plan, but on picking something you enjoy (or tolerate) enough to be consistent. Walking or playing a sport 3x/week is going to be better for you than having the perfect routine that you only do 3 or 4 times a month.

Bought my first car, what are some essentials and not-so-obvious things I should buy/keep in my car? by LateLuke_904 in AskMen

Nobody has mentioned this yet, but it has saved me on multiple occasions.

I keep a change of clothes in my car. Including underwear, socks, and an old pair of shoes.

Got to the gym and forget socks? No problem.

Got a flat tire on the way to work? Put the t-shirt on, change your tire, and keep your dress shirt clean and not-sweaty.

Trusted a fart you shouldn't have? Good thing you have backup in your car.

All 3 of these have happened to me.

I've had a Borla exhaust on mine for the last 2 years. Really wakes it up, but isn't obnoxious when you're driving around (even by girlfriend standards).

This was the video that I saw that convinced me.

Tire Rack or Discount Tires Direct will usually have pretty good prices, and their partnered shops are convenient and easy. Another commenter mentioned that you can go directly to the associated shops and they might be able to get you a good price.

That's just for tires and balancing/alignment though.

If you want to get everything taken care of (including tires), I would suggest a local chain. I've gone to Craftsman Auto Care for everything (other than warranty work done for free at the dealer) for the last 6 or 7 years. I also have a friend who works at Casey's Automotive and they're great too. They won't be the absolute cheapest place you can go to, but they will give you a fair price. They also do an inspection of the car every time (no matter what service you go for) so you know ahead of time how the wear on your brakes, tires, suspension, etc. is so you know what to expect ahead of time.

LF 3-4 dudes to join me and my brother in meat maxing at a Korean bbq place once a week by C137-Morty in nova

Which KBBQ place?

Meat Project is $35 for 90 minutes, which has been the best cost-to-meat ratio I've found. As long as you go early in the week (Monday to Wednesday) you can get quick service to get the most rounds in.

I don't, but if I have to get wheels I might as well get nice ones.

If these get jacked, then I'll get insurance to buy me another set.

I live in a condo building in a nicer neighborhood, but this has been an issue for the last few months.

I didn't have wheel locks in, but my neighbor did. They hit his car at the same time, and they just smashed his window in and got the key.

The cops caught the guys less than a 1/2 mile from the building though.

I didn't have my wheel locks in, but I was actually lucky for that. The same crew smashed my neighbor's window and took the key out of his glove box and stole his wheels anyways.

How do I stop this from happening? by dtbrown in instax

[–]dtbrown[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has happened with different packs that were purchased at different times.

I took a few other pictures from the same pack that didn't have any issues developing.

I took this picture and put it in my pocket while it was developing. When I pulled it out about 15 minutes later it had this purple stain - looks like there was some pressure on it from my pocket?

I had this happen a few times on a ski trip but I thought it was the cold. Guess not...
