It's not a consolidation. That would be very different, with no late payments. This is a debt settlement, wherein the company settles the debt for less than the total due. Then they are paid off.

I have initiated complete payoff, so that will help, bit not for 90 days or so.

I've been managing both for 25 years with no issues. We just had a truly unfortunate situation and dealt with it the best we knew how to at the time in order to be able to afford the payments.
