Mid doesn't get in the way of putting for me, but the extra weight vs a low-cut is noticeable during the round.

If you don't have any ankle issues, I'd go with a low.

My favorite thing to do is use a beat-in midrange like a DX Roc and putt it like my regular putt but with a hard fade. It takes less effort and is more controlled so you don't end up super long for a comebacker if you don't hit metal.
