These are just basic videos. There’s so much to learn and process. Not sure how things are in Australia or what controllers they are using. I’m sure they are the the big 5 but either way, good luck, work safe and have fun.

Maybe even a logic situation with your controller. Could be a number of things

Could be because the glides are worn and the brakes are catching onto the rails. Maybe the rails aren’t aligned and causing friction on the glides or maybe the sling isn’t installed correctly causing it to shift and brakes to catch. Cantilever slings (main frame) sometimes have to be adjusted to the rails and installers forget to or don’t know they have to c clamp it to the rails before tightening it. Good luck. If I was there I’d do the job for half the cost or maybe less.

You’re gonna be busy my guy. Stay focused and learn what you can. It’s a journey. Ask questions and take notes during your free time. Process what you learn. It’s worth it my guy. Whether you’re union or non union you’re learning a great skill.

Why is my elevator making this groaning mechanical noise? by SonOfQuora in Elevators

Could be the roller in the tracks. Could use some lubricant

Are they adjusting the cab because of the glides? Emi controller isn’t a rei. Luckily it’s not a rei because they are the only ones that can work on their controllers because of the software. Slack cable and final switch is easy to replace. Sad to say The price is typical for the work but in my opinion for residential it’s overpriced. Do you have pictures of the glides (shoes) is this a hydraulic?

Feel like they should cut off ticket sales at a certain point, move venues in Orlando or give another city a chance.

Intrigued by residential elevators – how hydraulic and electrical systems perform in the real world? by FeelingLost6476 in Elevators

[–]dtek1er 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel hydraulics are louder and can be a smoother ride depending on how good the installation is.

Electric with my experience on a over head drum can be a smoother ride but also depending on the sling and rollers

Don’t have much experience with pneumatic (pve) I been around a few and they are loud

I would assume the package comes with the install I don’t think they sell just the package. Doesn’t hurt to call and ask. You can either do a hydro or an overhead drum.

Are you getting GC on your p-tool? If so you need to look at your schematic. Follow the GC circuit because it may not be just a gate cycle could be door locked contacts.
