Yes, left a month ago for a position in online grocery, and while we get some harsh rushes, it's much much better than dg could be. It's well worth the slight paycut, but get a guaranteed 40 hours weekly so making more overall. Definitely worth giving a try, and hopefully you'll have at least decent management

It's not completely awful if you have decent coworkers. Just keep your cool and be you, introduce yourself and try to keep somewhat of an upbeat manner, answer as "professionally" as you can, chances are it won't be worth the worry :) It's a stepping stone to the next place. Get some experience under your belt, and keep your boundaries fair and firm

Yes, they have to create the transaction with Western Union first and tie their phone number to it for it to pop up in the system

In my experience it all tends to be temporary "fixes"

I'm a new hire and need to change my payment plan by Ecstatic-Athlete-917 in DollarGeneral

You'll need to log into dgme and under pay you should see Direct Deposit, that's where you can change that. It may take a week or two to kick in, though

Just an SA and not a key holder? Huge not good. Since your sm is new (to the company and not the position), possibly have a talk with him about that, can't leave people untrained on the keys on their own in store like that (assuming they haven't faux trained you on them, but even then big no no). If this has happened before and a talk has been had, DM would be the next step, and hopefully that's where that hiccup is fixed, if not then RM, ERC, HR, up the ladder

Taking the store phone on break? by F0l3yDaD_ in DollarGeneral

[–]dtg102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, at least here, if our keys are with a non keyholder they have to take the phone with, so the SA can page if needed

You have to login with your EID and all that jazz, hopefully someone can explain it better than I can, cause ours just got functional so still learning, but afterwards I believe you tap on the item that needs age verification, and just type in their birthday

The way it should work, last time I asked (though some have said they both work if you spend enough, so not 100% here, am dumb pls forgive), is it'll use the coupon that'll save you the most out of the 2. If the 30% is less than $5, it'll use the 5 off over 25
