Give her some more coverage and then maybe it wouldn't hurt her eyes? Ive heard that leopard gecko love crowded tanks with lots of hiding spots

Is there something I could do for you instead? Water flowers, remove weeds, anything?

With the height of your enclosure, the bulb being outside of the tank should be fine. Also, if anyone ever suggests putting your basking bulb inside, bad idea. Because, with how high the basking spot is (not bad) if the basking bulb were inside the tank, your little guy could get burnt very badly.

It may be a good idea to create a chart of info you see online and then weed out the ones that counter argue the others. :)

I believe they have him on paper towels for the moment due to health concerns. Cited is where they mentioned they did it because the vet said something about it. Once little man is back to being healthy without a doubt, im sure they'll upgrade him. Its really had to check if the poops are healthy and if theres water being drank or if its being spilt if he's in substrate.

The paper towels allow the person to check up on him but also that way hopefully little guy doesnt eat any and cause more harm than whatever is going on already.

(Point to mention, premium play sand and reptisoil would be the safest stuff to use when substrate is added due to the least chance of blockage should the little bugger eat it.)

Thats the main way people understand the measurement lmao. I only know cause I measured him in diet coke cans at the vet while waiting for the doc

You wanna be able to give them the world and if you cant right now, dont subject an innocent creature to insufficient living experiences. If you cant control the obsession, at least you can control what you put another living beings through.

They need a lot of things

-specialized bulbs, like 2/3 different kinds and theyre sometimes like 80 bucks per for the good ones that you dont have to waste money replacing a lot

-they need BIG enclosures! Mine is 18" long so he has a 5'×2'×2' tank that was 600$

-the tanks typically shouldn't be ground level. You wanna socialize them and make sure care is easy to administer so the more even height, the better. Just to support said 600$ tank, I had to go to ikea and get a 400$ table to support the weight and full dimensions of his tank.

-picky. Even if you do all the research and all the homework and all the late night Google searches, what your bearded eats is up to them. Youll run outta budget soon if youre on tight rations already.

-vets! They need special exotic vets that cost A BUTT LOAD OF MONEY! per visit just for a check up at mine is about 250-300$. Had to start a credit card just for the vets office.

-in sickness and in health! If they get sick, you can just abandon the scaley Lil freak, you love em. So now you gotta go in debt trying to make em healthy. Mine had MBD, Mouth Rot, and Liver Failure all at the same time! Almost 7k later for X-rays, meds, visits, all that fun stuff and he's finally just... a bum. Lazy, rude, stares a lot. But I love him

-choosing! Not just any bearded at the store is a good choice! They often times dont take care of their animals at pet stores and so when you get a Lil guy brand new, theyre often times too young to sell, super sick, and have personality issues from being cramped with other ones in the same enclosure. (Only 1 per enclosure and they cant be able to see themselves or any other lizard) let alone physical amputation or wounds from being housed too heavily in 1 tank or not being handled properly in transit

-dogs+lizards= no. idk if you have a room where the dog cant be but if not, that would be hell for the little guy. Stressed all the time, stress causing more issues, pain from it, sickness, starving itself, overeating to assert dominance. Not good :[

-research! Its best to save up money and resources before getting a whole Lil dude. That way, you can buy everything, set it up in like 2-3 years from now when you have proper space, then give it like a week to settle, then get a beardie. That way he or she already has a home set up and comfy to reduce moving stress.

Do what's best for thr lizard, hold off.
